What's sad is I'm pretty sure a grey bearded T0DD could have taken over after Green, played here until he retired, and we'd probably have been better off...

As some background, there have been 66 first-round quarterbacks drafted since the year we picked up Blackledge. This counts a few first-rounders in the supplemental draft, but excludes the special draft of USFL players when that league shut down.

Here's the list of them by team. The only two teams that have not drafted a quarterback in the first round during this period (1984-2012) are Kansas City and New Orleans. (In fairness, we've traded first-round picks for both Montana and Green in the past.)
