The stands were empty mainly because of a 2 hour rain delay after 12 laps. It also didn't help that Kyle Busch was completely dominating for the next 100+ laps. The field looked outclassed in a big way. The cars that were there in the end were definitely the B class of cars.
It is not helping that they have so many young rookie drivers and the rooks showed their inexperience several times, the main reason for several late crashes that made it take to dark to complete the race.

NASCAR's racing season is too long. With 10 races down, F1 has another 10 to go. Races take place every two weeks.

Does every Cup Series race have to turn into a four or five hour marathon? The race should last no longer than two hours, which includes post-race interviews.

In 2008, NASCAR Nationwide raced in the rain on wet tires. Other motor sports race in rain conditions - I am not sure who makes NASCAR's tires anymore - Find a tire supplier that fully understands how the tires and the tracks respond to rain.

F1's tire supplier Pirelli has a testing program that improves the characteristics of its wet and dry rubber tread patterns throughout the season. The supplier travels with F1 testing different compounds for different races with the team's test drivers on dry or artificially soaked tracks.

NASCAR should cut down on the number of Cup drivers in the field. If drivers cannot hold their line, either cut the driver or find a new tire supplier.

F1 has 10 teams and 20 drivers available. FIA Sporting Regulations have strict rules on incidents of driver competition in a race, especially during the last three laps. A driver cannot touch another driver's car - The race director or stewards may impose any of seven strict penalties on the driver leading up to disqualification from the results.

It is frustrating watching NASCAR's no talents crashing out and sweeping up top drivers during the race.

There are strict rules governing on-track behaviour and stewards have the power to impose various penalties on a driver committing an offence during a race or practice session.

Hungary GP - Bumpy, narrow, tight and twisted. This circuit considered as one of the toughest races for Formula 1 drivers. Overtaking is extremely difficult.

Hamilton excels at this track, however because it has the slowest average speed, it is hard to foretell who is going to win. One thing a driver has to have excellent driving skills.

Red Bull's Daniel Ricciardo completed a clean sweep of Friday practice at the Hungarian Grand Prix.

Max Verstappen by contrast changed the set up of his RB13 and enjoyed qualifying a bit more, jousting with Vettel in Q2 before slipping back behind the Silver Arrows in Q3.

Will Max Verstappen jump Lewis Hamilton off the line with his aggressive style of racing...or will Hamilton jump the Ferrari. I cannot see Bottas (balls) jumping Vettel.

I am not sure why Mercedes did not have enough at this circuit against Ferrari. The new parts for Ferrari must have paid off. The test will come after the summer break when Ferrari races on wider tracks with long straights that give the edge to Mercedes. If Ferrari cannot beat Mercs on those types of tracks, their revival will only be suited to Singapore going forward.

It is too late for Red Bull / Renault to make improvements to the power unit - Performance lags behind Mercedes and Ferrari. However, Ricciardo and Verstappen get everything they can out of the RBs.

Start to this race, Turn 1 and Turn 2 usually takes out one of the front drivers.

Hahaha, before that, on the replay Hamilton was jumped by both Red Bulls...

Edit: Wow! Hamilton is all over the back of Verstappen but locks up attempting to go round the outside at Turn One - My boy Verstappen!

Edit: 10-second time penalty for Verstappen for touching his teammate...Although, it was not his fault...his brakes locked
