Not really. 3rd person can have the camera anywhere... see just about every RTS. I guess you could drop the 3rd person when using "over the shoulder" tho'

Do many PC games use that camera angle? I think the first OTS I ever played was Gears... can't remember playing a shooter with that camera angle previously.

Dude, anything that is not from the 1st person perspective is by definition 3rd person. This isn't reading... there is no 2nd or anything like that. If you're not seeing through the characters eyes - it's 3rd person.

I think his point is that while "over the shoulder" is always 3rd person, 3rd person isn't always "over the shoulder".

The game will use Rockstar's proprietary RAGE game engine, which was used in Table Tennis, Grand Theft Auto IV and Midnight Club: Los Angles.

The game will feature an open-world environment which will include frontier towns, wildlife-packed prairies and mountain passes.

PCWorld has and article on how you can reflash a normal 120GB HD with the xbox filesystem, thus having a 120GB HD for a lot cheaper than microsoft will sell it. Anyone do this?
