MNF. Did you see the Dale Carter hit?

That caused the fumble in the kick return. Man! Could Carter be back to his old self after all these years?

That is what happens when you play an aggressive B&R style defense. That's the nature of the beast. In any case, it wasn't that often that he got beat. He made a lot more good plays, IMO. He was a great (no, not just good, he was great) CB in his time in KC.

Dale was a good number 2. James Hasty was definitely better.

Hasty was more physical, but Carter was more athletic. Man, imagine if we had those 2 guys now.

Frankly, I think they'd be getting flagged several times per game in today's league. They don't let corners play anymore.

I think they were both legitimate #1 corners. Those were good days.

I heard that the nfl was considering letting defenses play with an extra cornerback (12 men) on third and long next year to balance out the offensive bias in the rules. So now instead of four guys sitting back in the secondary doing absolutely nothing, on third down we can have five or more. or in the case of our defense all twelve.

I think that David Carr is the reason that the Texans suck. I'd rather look elsewhere.
