if anything, I can't wait to see what the Patriots are paying Tom Brady 10 years from now
...then you'll really see what a good guy Tom Brady is...who signed below market NFL contracts so he could get paid until he's 80 by billionaire Bobby Kraft |

I don't fault him one bit...but don't think he's taking these "under market" deals without some under the table deal he knows he has with Kraft after he retires.
Perks of being a legend. Also probably cheating. But it hasn't happened yet, just realize, when he's a team adviser or employee after he retires, ... |

Well it'll be a little fishy why a player "took less money" and then proceeds to get paid as a team legend after his playing career ends
I'm not saying that will happen, but if it does ... say he retires and then stays on as an "adviser" and gets $5M a year ... you think that's ok? |

bullshit
again shows how little people understand the cap Kansas city could do this with their players too if they were willing to "push" the cap. It costs a lot of money to do it though.

Franchise tag at worst. Houston plays in KC for one more year at least. Whether he's happy while doing it will be another story altogether.

"Under the new contract, the Patriots will free up $24 million in cash flow. It does not impact the Patriots' salary cap situation. The move was intended to help the Patriots spend money on free agents and keep veterans. Brady, 37, doesn't give away any salary in the restructure. In fact, Brady will get a raise of $1 million annually. " - per NFL.com You pay market value for great players, especially QBs. Denver has an injury waiver on any guarantees should he re-injure the neck. It's a very team friendly deal. Is Manning making more than Brady? Appears to be the case, and that's what they paid him to get him to Denver. Is it hamstringing them from putting a competitive team on the field and are they in cap hell in future years - no.
