Everything I've heard and read has indicated that he isn't going to be suspended, although Tagliabue could step in. Which, knowing Tagliabue...

Yes that scares me too. But I would hope Warfield's lawyer would fight a 4-game suspension since even though this is his 3rd DWI it would only be his 1st punishment from the NFl which should be a slap on the wrist or a 1 game suspension at the most. With so many division games at the beginning of our schedule I am a litte nervous about it. |

I talked to Jeffery Flannigan of the Star a few weeks ago, and he indicated it will probably be a 4 game suspension. Who know when it's announced. For the Chiefs sake, I would want to know sooner than later.

Last year, it took forever before the NFL addressed suspensions that were appealed... Possibly this would allow Warfield to play in the 1st 4 games before whatever kind of suspension (if any) took effect. I want a good start this year, and the 1st 4 games are pretty tough, we need our best players on the field during the 1st quarter of the season! |

Well like I said I hope Warfield's Lawyer fights it. I can't see how the NFL can go from no punishment to a 3rd time offense punishment but who knows???

Of course, he's going to get a 4-game suspension, because you know what that means...

For this reason the Chiefs need to spend their first pick on a corner.
