Has anyone indicated that Johnson will be an ILB? I would have guessed Johnson as OLB and Vrabel inside.

We will be better than we were last year. However, using our top picks on D-line I'm not counting on them doing anything this year.

Cleveland had a horrible pass rush last year in the 3-4. San Diego's sucked w/o Merriman. If you don't have edge rushers, you aren't doing shit for pass rushing in the 3-4

Let's put it this way. A team with a line of Williams, Olshansky, and Castillo had 28 sacks.

A team with Shaun Rogers had 17 sacks.

Dallas had 59 sacks with a pretty crappy front.

I'd assume if they're in any sort of 3-4 set, Johnson would be the coverage backer and Thomas the between the tackles backer. Or if playing under, DJ will, Thomas mike, Vrable Sam and Hali (?) in the flex position. But I don't know.

If we start that defensive lineup that Direkshun is suggesting, we should be pretty good, assuming the league allows us to play 4 linemen and 4 LB's at the same time.
