MADDEN 15

This is going to be out within a month.. I have not seen many videos nor gameplay footage of the new madden. Only a few clips here and there, and I wasn't blown away, it looked to be the same as Madden 25.

I'll most likely still get it, whats everyone's thoughts on the game and what would you like to see EA do?

The last madden I really liked was 12, it went downhill from there. 13 was lackluster, 25 was decent on PS3(only got it for the NCAA rosters for franchise) and 25 on PS4 is alright, though nowhere close to the presentation of 2K5 which is really sad.

I hope this is a good year for Madden gameplay/presentation wise but I doubt it.

I've heard it's no better than it was on previous consoles. I've been happy with it on next gen so far.

Yeah, I think it was 05... You could do the blocking dummies, 2 on 1 drills and shit like that. It was pretty awesome.

To me....it just wasn't fun. Maybe it will be different on the next gen whenever I decide to take that plunge....but I won't be buying the PS3 version.

And the sad thing is....I WANT to like this shit. Up until around 2010....I bought that shit every year (same thing with NCAA). There was never a time more exciting then getting NCAA and powering through 3-4 seasons so you had those draft classes to import. My buddies and I used to spend entire weekends and every day after work sitting in our living room playing these games.

EA has ****ed up their biggest cash cow and it saddens me.

Those mini drills in the offseason of the 05 game were awesome.

Problem was, once you became good at the game, it made it too easy. If I remember right, you could get 7 points to add to attributes if you did well enough.

That's any game though once you've gotten good enough.

My buddies and I used to put limits on the players we could use those on. We were basically required to only take players under a 70 overall through those mini camps.

You're right. I won't argue. They obviously concentrated more on the next gen versions even though the majority of their sales are for the 360 and PS3. Check out some of the game play vids that show the difference. It's glaring.
I can stop a game at any time, (without saving) and turn off my system. Then pick it right back up hours later.
The load times are under 30 seconds.
The graphics are great, maybe not fully next gen yet but the best I've seen.
The players and camera crews on the sidelines actually do stuff.
The crowd is much better and the play by play from Nance and Simms is much improved, (still kinda lame).

I've heard nothing but bad reviews for the current gen consoles so far. No improvements, constant crashes, online sucks etc.
I'm sure I'll start hating it again in a year or two when they don't improve anything. Lmao
I'm actually considering buying NHL now amd I haven't done that in 7-8 years.

I'm playing on the 360. I'm curious what level people are playing on in this game? I started playing on All Madden but it didn't seem realistic to me. All Pro seems a little more realistic. Although I think I'm getting too good to stick on that level.

I'm on all pro on the ps4 and it's a challenge so far. Of course the chiefs suck right now. However, Smith is rated at a 92 overall and they think he's the next Favre.

That would be a bit more challenging.

I remember I'd solely look at speed when I was drafting a player because I knew, with mini camp drills and in-season progression, I could feasibly raise a player's overall 10 points or more in one season cycle.

I had teams stacked with LBs with 88 speed and CBs with 99 speed Then just put them through the mini camp drills and user-control them during the season to get maximum progression.

That's what was awesome though. You could draft a guy based solely on speed and work on everything else. I may go find my copy of 2005 and see how many seasons I can get through.
