I don't know much about HDTV but I notice it says HD Compatability and not HD ready. Could it be that it has a standard tuner that can be swapped for an HD tuner?

I have the model of Panny that came before this model. Its a very nice TV..my only knock on it is it can't display 720P..but thats not an issue because Cox uses 1080i. Therefore, there is no "catch". Thats not a bad price, not a great price.

If you end up buying this one, Google "Avia Home theater essentials"..and buy that DVD. Its worth it It has several calibration routines. You'll notice the difference in the picture quality.
Also..immediately turn down the contrast!

Stick with Cable or satellite. The only drawback with satellite is if you want an integrated TIVO with your HD receiver, they cost like 1000 bucks.

I got this one for $1697.00

A few new technologies will be coming out very soon so prices are dropping. I was wanting the Samsung DLP and I have been watching it for 7 months or so. The TV has gone down in price almost $2,000.
This Panasonic TV is not a DLP or LCD TV that's why it's cheaper in price. I have seen alot of HDTV's around this price because it's just a standard projection TV without the other cool technologies. This TV does have HDTV!!! You don't need to buy anything additional except your cables. Here it is for $1,100 http://www.1-877camcorder.com/pt47wx53.html |

I should not have spoke because I really can't remeber the names. I know someone who works at Best Buy and also Nebraska Furniture Mart. Supposidly this summer you will see resolutions of like 1080/1080....you will have to spend a $hit ton of money on cables to get this resolution though. |
