During the soccer match between USA and Mexico some classy fans thought it would be hilarious to throw a couple of cups of beer/vomit/urine at America's Landon Donovan while he was taking a corner kick. You can see the two cups airborne in the picture along with the riot police trying to keep things calm.

In the next seat another man, who was wearing a T-shirt with a cartoon drawing of the decapitated heads of Barack Obama and Landon Donovan, poured out what remained of the Corona beer he had been chugging and urinated into his cardboard drinks container.

Then, according to a neutral bystander who witnessed these disgusting acts, the pair stood on their seats, high-fived and hurled their vile concoctions in the direction of Donovan, the United States men’s national team star who was preparing to take a corner kick 15 yards away.”

If things were not bad enough, the American soccer star (oxymoron?) now has H1N1, also known as swine flu. I'm sure he isn't looking forward to going back to Mexico any time soon. [Yahoo!]

Eh, some of your information isn't quite right. This is the first time I have heard of the crowd chanting Osama in that game tough it wouldn't surprise me. The secret service doesn't do anything that isn't at all their role. Local police though do go out of their way to protect Americans at Azteca.

Planning going to the WCQ in Mexico next summer. It is gonna be a blast.

He actually does. Its a weird back and forth. They hate but respect him. Of course if he is wearing USMNT jersey. No love.

This was a game between a Saudi and an Iranian team in Iran. Due to the tensions between the two countries and the ongoing proxy war happening in Syria and Lebanon, I am pretty sure that some crazy Iranian fan smuggled it with him and almost killed one of their own (The person who picked it up is from the Iranian team).

He took a piss on one of the soccer fields in Mexico during warm ups back in 2004. That's probably what pissed them off...

As for chanting "Osama," you might be right that it wasn't at that particular game. However, they have chanted it at a bunch of games. Maybe they will stop now that he's dead.

As for the Secret Service, no, they don't protect them on the field but, they do protect them the second they step off the field in every international match. They are a huge target. They've been protecting them since 9/11...
