2014 NFL Free Agents

2014 NFL Free Agents: Safeties

1. Jairus Byrd, S, Bills. Age: 27.
Jairus Byrd is arguably the top safety in the NFL. He's awesome in coverage and is good for collecting a handful of turnovers each season. He won't be 28 until October.

2. T.J. Ward, S, Browns. Age: 27.
Known for knocking out Rob Gronkowski for the year with a torn ACL and MCL, T.J. Ward is a top safety. He thrives in run support and doesn't have any weaknesses. He won't be 28 until December.

3. Donte Whitner, S, 49ers. Age: 29.
Donte Whitner gets into trouble for the occasional illegal hit, but he's still an excellent strong safety. He has missed only one game in the past four seasons.

4. Chris Clemons, S, Dolphins. Age: 28.
Chris Clemons is a very good coverage safety who has missed only three games in the past four seasons. He'll be missed if the Dolphins can't re-sign him.

5. Major Wright, S, Bears. Age: 26.
Major Wright played very well in 2012, but had an awful 2013 campaign. Perhaps he deserves a mulligan, as he battled neck and hamstring injuries all season. He's only 26, so he should be able to rebound.

6. Stevie Brown, S, Giants. Age: 27.
Stevie Brown had an excellent 2012 campaign, but missed all of 2013 with a torn ACL. He'd have a higher ranking if he weren't coming off that knee injury.

7. Antoine Bethea, S, Colts. Age: 30.
Antoine Bethea has been a pretty average starting safety over the past few seasons, but he'll be hitting 30 in July.

8. Brandon Meriweather, S, Redskins. Age: 30.
Brandon Meriweather can sometimes be an effective player when he's not serving suspensions for dirty hits. He just turned 30 though.

9. Husain Abdullah, S, Chiefs. Age: 29.
Husain Abdullah started the final two games of the season, and by watching him, it makes you wonder why Andy Reid didn't play him more earlier. Abdullah picked off Andrew Luck twice in a playoff loss.

10. Michael Mitchell, S, Panthers. Age: 27.
Everyone laughed at Al Davis when he selected Michael Mitchell in the second round, but Mitchell was pretty decent in coverage this past year.

11. Bernard Pollard, S, Titans. Age: 29.
The Patriots' worst nightmare, Bernard Pollard continues to be strong in run support, but somewhat of a liability in coverage.

12. Ryan Mundy, S, Giants. Age: 29.
Ryan Mundy has done well filling in for injured players at the safety position. He's strong against the run, but is somewhat weak in coverage.

13. James Ihedigbo, S, Ravens. Age: 30.
James Ihedigbo, beat out rookie Matt Elam for one of the safety spots to open the 2013 season, but struggled in coverage to close out the year. He's great in run support.

14. Mike Adams, S, Broncos. Age: 33.
Mike Adams has been an average starting safety over the years, but his play could decline soon, given that he'll be 33 in March.

Quintin Mikell, S, Panthers. Age: 34.
Quintin Mikell has been solid at strong safety for Carolina this season, but given that he'll be 34 in mid-September, the Panthers will have to find a new player at that position sometime soon.

16. Kendrick Lewis, S, Chiefs. Age: 26.
Kendrick Lewis got off to a strong start in his career with two solid seasons, but has regressed since. Perhaps he'll be able to recapture what he had in 2010 and 2011.

17. Malcolm Jenkins, S, Saints. Age: 26.
Malcolm Jenkins has never lived up to expectations as a former first-round pick, but he has shown flashes at times. He just turned 26, so there's still plenty of time.

18. Nate Allen, S, Eagles. Age: 26.
Nate Allen has gotten a ton of flak from Philadelphia fans for underachieving as a former second-round pick, but he hasn't been that terrible. He improved a bit in 2013.

Ryan Clark, S, Steelers. Age: 35.
Ryan Clark, 35 in October, is no longer the quality safety he used to be. He has struggled at times this season and has hinted at retirement.

20. Yeremiah Bell, S, Cardinals. Age: 36.
Yeremiah Bell played surprisingly well this past season considering his age (36 in March), but he can't be counted on as a starter anymore going forward.

21. Charles Woodson, S, Raiders. Age: 37.
Charles Woodson is playing on his last legs. He'll be 38 in October.

22. Ed Reed, S, Jets. Age: 35.
Ed Reed should be a 1.5-star player, but I'm giving him two starts so I can post a write-up for him. Reed is done. He can't cover anymore. He should retire.

Cornerbacks

1. Brent Grimes, CB, Dolphins. Age: 31.
It's very difficult to return to form coming off an Achilles tear. Brent Grimes did just that, as he was one of the NFL's top cornerbacks in 2013. He'll be 31 in July and is still recently removed from that Achilles injury, but he's still one of the top free agents this spring.

2. Vontae Davis, CB, Colts. Age: 26.
It could be argued that Vontae Davis is the No. 1 free agent cornerback. He's coming off a great 2013 campaign and will be only 26 in May, compared to Brent Grimes, who's in his 30s already and is also recently removed from a torn Achilles. Davis struggled in a playoff victory against the Chiefs, but wasn't healthy.

3. Captain Munnerlyn, CB, Panthers. Age: 26.
Captain Munnerlyn wasn't even starting at the beginning of the 2012 season, yet he's turned into a terrific corner for the Panthers. He'll only be 26 in April.

4. Sam Shields, CB, Packers. Age: 26.
The Packers have struggled to cover this year as a team, but Sam Shields hasn't been responsible for that. Shields was terrific in 2012 and solid this past season. He's an excellent starting cornerback.

5. Alterraun Verner, CB, Titans. Age: 25.
A former fourth-round pick, Alterraun Verner had an excellent 2013 campaign, though he faded down the stretch. A solid No. 2 corner going forward, Verner won't be 26 until December.

6. Aqib Talib, CB, Patriots. Age: 28.
Aqib Talib is awesome when he's on, but he can have meltdowns when he's struggling, which is what happened against the Panthers in a Monday night loss. He's a legitimate No. 1 corner though, provided he stays out of trouble.

7. Tarell Brown, CB, 49ers. Age: 29.
Tarell Brown has been an excellent cornerback for the 49ers over the past few years. However, he missed some time with a rib injury this past season and lost his job to the emerging Tramaine Brock.

8. Chris Harris (RFA), CB, Broncos. Age: 25.
Chris Harris entered the 2013 season as the team's nickel, but he officially entered the starting lineup halfway through and never looked back. He put together a great third year in the NFL.

9. Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie, CB, Broncos. Age: 28.
"DRC" stands for Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie, but it could just as easily mean "Doesn't Really Care." The former Cardinal and Eagle had a stellar 2013 campaign, but he plays hard only when he feels like it. He can't be counted on to give maximum effort, though he's a stud when he actually does.

10. DeAngelo Hall, CB, Redskins. Age: 30.
DeAngelo Hall has been overrated throughout his entire career. He's just an average No. 2 corner at this point of his career, but some team will likely overpay him.

11. Charles Tillman, CB, Bears. Age: 33.
Charles Tillman used to be known as one of the NFL's top cornerbacks, but he struggled mightily in 2013 before tearing his triceps. Perhaps he'll be able to rebound, but given that he'll turn 33 in February, there's a chance he has completely fallen off.

12. Corey Graham, CB, Ravens. Age: 29.
Corey Graham has been solid for the Ravens the past year and a half. He should be viewed as an average starter going forward.

13. Nolan Carroll, CB, Dolphins. Age: 27.
Nolan Carroll sustained a number of injuries (knee, concussion, rib) throughout his 2013 campaign. Despite this, he didn't miss a single game.

14. Walter Thurmond III, CB, Seahawks. Age: 27.
Walter Thurmond had a quality 2013 campaign, minus a four-game suspension for marijuana. Thurmond would be higher on this list, but he's one more violation away from being gone for the season.

15. Brandon Browner (RFA), CB, Seahawks. Age: 30.
Brandon Browner is more talented than 2.5 stars, but he's in danger of missing a lot of time with a suspension relating to violating the league's substance abuse policy.

16. Chris Cook, CB, Vikings. Age: 27.
Chris Cook is a skilled cornerback, but has never lived up to his talent level. He also has some off-the-field baggage.

17. Josh Wilson, CB, Redskins. Age: 30.
Josh Wilson is one of the few Redskin defenders who didn't play terribly this past season. He's a mediocre starting cornerback.

2014 NFL Free Agents: Inside Linebackers

1. Daryl Smith, ILB, Ravens. Age: 32.
Daryl Smith has always been one of the better linebackers in the NFL, but no one knew about him because he played in Jacksonville. Smith made a name for himself this year with 123 tackles, five sacks and three interceptions. The only downside with him is his age (32 in March).

2. Karlos Dansby, ILB, Cardinals. Age: 32.
Karlos Dansby, who played all but five of Arizona's defensive snaps this past season, was a beast in his first year back with the Cardinals. A force in every facet of the game, Dansby earned himself a big contract. The only downside is that he'll be 33 in November.

3. Donald Butler, ILB, Chargers. Age: 25.
Donald Butler is a solid, young (26 in October) inside linebacker who can play all three downs. He struggled a bit in the first half of this past season because he was dealing with a groin issue, but he performed well to close out the year.

4. Vinny Rey (RFA), ILB, Bengals. Age: 26.
Vinny Rey took over for an injured Rey Maualuga in the middle of the season and happened to be outstanding. Rey should've held on to the job, but Marvin Lewis inexplicably handed the starting role back to the ineffective Maualuga.

5. Perry Riley, ILB, Redskins. Age: 26.
Perry Riley had a strong 2012 campaign, but I'm not sure what happened to him because he was terrible this year. Perhaps his 2013 season will go down as a fluke.

6. Erin Henderson, ILB, Vikings. Age: 28.
Erin Henderson played well for the most part this past season as a three-down linebacker, but he's been arrested twice for DUIs over the past four months.

7. Brandon Spikes, ILB, Patriots. Age: 26.
Brandon Spikes saw a drop in snaps this year because of his deficiencies in coverage. He's still very stout in run support, however.

8. Jon Beason, ILB, Giants. Age: 29.
Injuries have sapped Jon Beason's ability to cover, but he's still strong against the run. He's also a good leader, but he can't seem to stay healthy.

9. Pat Angerer, ILB, Colts. Age: 27.
Pat Angerer is a talented linebacker, but he just hasn't been able to stay healthy. He struggled this past season coming off knee surgery, but figures to be better in 2014.

10. Desmond Bishop, ILB, Vikings. Age: 30.
Desmond Bishop is a very talented linebacker, but he tore his hamstring in 2012 and then his ACL this past season. He may have to settle for the veteran minimum, and if so, he'll be a hell of a high-upside bargain.

11. Daryl Sharpton, ILB, Texans. Age: 26.
Daryl Sharpton took over as Houston's three-down inside linebacker following Brian Cushing's season-ending injury. He's solid versus the run, but a bit of a liability in coverage.

12. Akeem Jordan, ILB, Chiefs. Age: 28.
Akeem Jordan can't play three downs, but he's a smart linebacker who provides very good run support.

Outside Linebackers

1. Wesley Woodyard, OLB, Broncos. Age: 28.
Wesley Woodyard was a quality linebacker for the few seasons before 2013, but struggled this past year because of a stinger he suffered in early October. He was ultimately benched, but he should rebound as long as he can play the weak side again.

2. Calvin Pace, DE/OLB, Jets. Age: 33.
Calvin Pace registered eight* sacks this season, but that number is inflated because the opposition focused so much on the interior rushers. Pace is not playing as well as he used to because of his age.

3. James Anderson, OLB, Bears. Age: 30.
James Anderson covered well this past season, but was exposed against the run after Henry Melton was sidelined with an injury.

4. Parys Haralson, DE/OLB, Saints. Age: 30.
Parys Haralson is never much of a liability, but he's not a strength either. He's a jack of all trades, master of nothing.

5. O'Brien Schofield, DE/OLB, Seahawks. Age: 27.
6. Spencer Paysinger, OLB, Giants. Age: 26.
7. Rob Jackson, DE/OLB, Redskins. Age: 28.
8. Bryan Braman (RFA), DE/OLB, Texans. Age: 27.
9. Jonathan Casillas, OLB, Buccaneers. Age: 27.
10. Jo-Lonn Dunbar, OLB, Rams. Age: 29.
11. Dekoda Watson, OLB, Buccaneers. Age: 26.
12. Garrett McIntyre, DE/OLB, Jets. Age: 29.
13. Keith Rivers, OLB, Giants. Age: 28.
14. Stephen Nicholas, OLB, Falcons. Age: 31.
15. Blake Costanzo, OLB, Bears. Age: 30.
16. Ernie Sims, OLB, Cowboys. Age: 29.
17. Marvin Mitchell, OLB, Vikings. Age: 29.
18. Lawrence Sidbury, DE/OLB, Colts. Age: 28.

2014 NFL Free Agents: Defensive Tackles

1. Arthur Jones, DE/DT, Ravens. Age: 28.
Arthur Jones is coming off an excellent 2013 campaign in which he happened to be one of the league's best 3-4 defensive ends. He's a monstrous run-stuffer and applies decent pressure on the quarterback.

2. Randy Starks, DT, Dolphins. Age: 30.
Randy Starks has been one of the better defensive tackles in football in recent years, performing extremely well in terms of pass rushing and stuffing the run. He's a strong player in the 3-4 and 4-3, making him one of the more prized free agents. Age is only a slight concern.

3. Linval Joseph, DT, Giants. Age: 25.
Linval Joseph is a monstrous run-stuffer who can get to the quarterback quite well for a 325-pound defensive tackle. He'll only be 26 in October.

4. Jason Hatcher, DT, Cowboys. Age: 32.
Jason Hatcher has always been a solid 3-4 player, but he took it to another level while in the 4-3 this past season. Hatcher proved to be a monstrous pass-rusher as a defensive tackle, so he should stay in that formation. The only downside with him is that he'll turn 32 in July.

5. Paul Soliai, DT, Dolphins. Age: 30.
Paul Soliai is a big-time run-stuffer who can also get to the quarterback. He can play in either the 3-4 or 4-3, so teams that run multiple fronts will love his versatility.

6. Henry Melton, DT, Bears. Age: 27.
Henry Melton was one of Chicago's top defenders entering the 2013 season, but he struggled prior to tearing his ACL in late September. He was also charged for misdemeanor assault in October. He should be able to rebound if healthy, but the knee injury is a natural concern.

7. B.J. Raji, NT, Packers. Age: 28.
B.J. Raji was a dominant force in 2010 and 2011, but has since severely declined. Still though, the Packers think enough of him that they offered him a contract that would pay him an average of $8 million per year. The motivation just doesn't seem to be there with Raji though.

8. Kevin Williams, DT, Vikings. Age: 34.
Kevin Williams, 34 in August, is no longer the disruptive force he once was, but he's still capable of flashing greatness, as he did in the Washington game when he had two sacks against Robert Griffin in the fourth quarter.

9. Jonathan Babineaux, DT, Falcons. Age: 32.
Jonathan Babineaux has been a force in terms of stuffing the run and getting to the quarterback, but he just turned 32, so his best days are behind him.

10. Cedric Thornton, DE/DT, Eagles. Age: 26.
Cedric Thornton doesn't offer much in the pass-rushing department, but he's a monstrous run-stuffer. He's the primary reason the Eagles have maintained one of the top ground defenses this past year.

11. Clinton McDonald (RFA), DT, Seahawks. Age: 27.
The undersized Clinton McDonald is a liability against the run, but he's a strong situational pass-rusher; he logged 5.5 sacks in 2013.

12. Tony McDaniel, DT, Seahawks. Age: 29.
Tony McDaniel doesn't offer any pass-rushing ability, but he's a tremendous run-stuffer.

13. Vance Walker, DT, Raiders. Age: 27.
Vance Walker is a jack-of-all-trades, master-of-none defensive tackle. He's passable as a starter.

14. Ropati Pitoitua, DE/DT, Titans. Age: 29.
Ropati Pitoitua is a stout run-stuffer who offers a bit of pass-rushing ability. He played in the 4-3 this past season, but his best scheme fit is the 3-4.

15. Pat Sims, DT, Raiders. Age: 28.
Pat Sims is a solid run-stuffer who provided a good push in the pocket this season.

16. Terrence Cody, NT, Ravens. Age: 26.
Terrence Cody has never lived up to expectations, thanks in part to injuries. He dealt with hip and knee problems in 2013. He could always emerge to be the player most expected him to become when he came out of Alabama, but time is going to run out soon.

17. Ziggy Hood, DE/DT, Steelers. Age: 27.
Ziggy Hood, a former first-round pick, has been a huge disappointment. Perhaps he can eventually live up to expectations, but time is running out.

Defensive Ends

1. Greg Hardy, DE, Panthers. Age: 26.
One of the best defensive ends in the NFL, Greg Hardy tallied 15 sacks while being a monstrous run-stuffer in 2013. Hardy will be getting a huge contract sometime soon, as he'll be just 26 in July.

2. Brian Orakpo, DE/OLB, Redskins. Age: 28.
One of the NFL's top pass-rushers, Brian Orakpo is also strong against the run and can cover if he has to. He deserves a massive contract this offseason, but he'll likely have to wait until 2015 because he'll almost certainly be franchised.

3. Michael Bennett, DE, Seahawks. Age: 28.
Michael Bennett signed a 1-year "prove it" deal this past offseason because he was coming off an injury. The gamble paid off, as Bennett registered 8.5 sacks while being a dominant force against the run, as usual. Letting Bennett go was one of the many reasons why Mark Dominik was fired as Tampa Bay's general manager.

4. Lamarr Houston, DE, Raiders. Age: 27.
Lamarr Houston, the Raiders' best player, is a strong pass-rusher and is even better at shutting down the run. He'll only be 27 in June, so he deserves a massive contract.

5. Jared Allen, DE, Vikings. Age: 32.
Jared Allen has been one of the NFL's top pass-rushers over the past seven years, but he struggled a bit at times this past season. A sign of age, or was this just a fluke? The team that signs him to a big contract will have to worry about Allen declining at 32.

6. Michael Johnson, DE, Bengals. Age: 27.
Michael Johnson has his ups and downs, but when he's on, he can be very dominant. Johnson is especially strong against the run and can get to the quarterback well at times. He had 11.5 sacks in 2012, but saw that number drop to 3.5 this past season.

7. Justin Tuck, DE, Giants. Age: 31.
Justin Tuck was always strong against the run, but did nothing in terms of rushing the quarterback in 2013 - until he racked up a whopping four sacks against the Redskins. He put consistent pressure on the quarterback after that.

8. Anthony Spencer, DE, Cowboys. Age: 30.
Anthony Spencer collected 11 sacks in 2012, but now he's a 30-year-old coming off a season-ending knee injury. Spencer has always been inconsistent throughout his career, so a long-term deal could spark some lethargy.

9. Antonio Smith, DE/DT, Texans. Age: 32.
Antonio Smith will be 33 in October, but he can still get after the quarterback. He can be a 4-3 left end who moves inside on obvious passing situations, but he's best off staying in the 3-4.

10. Willie Young, DE, Lions. Age: 28.
The sack numbers don't show it, but Willie Young had a solid season both in terms of rushing the passer and stuffing the run. At just 28, he deserves a fairly decent-sized contract.

11. Jason Worilds, DE/OLB, Steelers. Age: 26.
The Steelers didn't think much of Jason Worilds, so they opted to spend a first-round pick on Jarvis Jones. Instead of Jones playing well, Worilds stepped up with a solid 2013 campaign.

12. Shaun Phillips, DE, Broncos. Age: 33.
So much for being done. Shaun Phillips came off a disappointing season and logged 10 sacks for the Broncos. Unfortunately, he'll turn 33 in May.

13. Tyson Jackson, DE/DT, Chiefs. Age: 28.
Tyson Jackson has turned his career around with Andy Reid. He still doesn't offer anything as a pass-rusher, but he put the clamps on the run rather well in 2013.

14. Everson Griffen, DE, Vikings. Age: 26.
Everson Griffen is a quality nickel pass-rusher - he had eight sacks in 2012 - but it remains to be seen if he can be a full-time starter.

15. Corey Wootton, DE, Bears. Age: 27.
Corey Wootton happens to be solid in run support, but he's only average when it comes to rushing the passer. He had seven sacks in 2012, but saw that number cut in half this past season.

16. Matt Shaughnessy, DE, Cardinals. Age: 27.
Matt Shaughnessy has never been the same since his shoulder injury a couple of years ago, but he showed signs of improvement in 2013. He's still very stout in run support.

17. Robert Ayers, DE, Broncos. Age: 28.
Robert Ayers is an inconsistent pass-rusher, but he also happens to be a strong run defender.

18. Mike Neal, DE/DT, Packers. Age: 27.
Mike Neal is a quality situational pass-rusher on the defensive line, but he took one for the team and played some outside linebacker this year because of injuries. He didn't fare very well there.

19. Israel Idonije, DE, Lions. Age: 33.
Israel Idonije had a great 2012 campaign, but hasn't done much in Detroit. He's been a decent run-stuffer, but he hasn't put much pressure on opposing quarterbacks.

2014 NFL Free Agents: Offensive Tackles

1. Eugene Monroe, OT, Ravens. Age: 27.
I still don't understand why Jacksonville traded Eugene Monroe for mere fourth- and fifth-round picks. Monroe is one of the top left tackles in the NFL; he transitioned perfectly to Baltimore's offense upon being dealt in early October. He'll definitely be the recipient of a big contract.

2. Jordan Gross, OT, Panthers. Age: 34.
Jordan Gross has discussed retirement; he even told the media he isn't sure if he's returning next year. If he comes back, he'll still be a superior blind-side protector. He surrendered six sacks in 2013.

3. Jared Veldheer, OT, Raiders. Age: 27.
Jared Veldheer missed the first 12 weeks of the season with a triceps tear. Perhaps the Raiders will be able to retain him at a cheaper price as a consequence. If so, they should be happy because Veldheer is a solid blind-side protector.

4. Branden Albert, OT, Chiefs. Age: 29.
Branden Albert is more talented than this rating says he is, but he's always injured and has played all 16 games only once in his career. He's a strong blind-side protector when healthy.

5. Austin Howard, OT, Jets. Age: 27.
The once-beleaguered Austin Howard has improved every single season and is now viewed as a solid right tackle. He did a great job of improving his pass-protection skills this past year.

6. Rodger Saffold, OT/G, Rams. Age: 26.
Rodger Saffold is a quality tackle who can also play inside. However, he's had major issues staying healthy throughout his career. He's a high-risk, medium-reward signing.

7. Anthony Collins, OT, Bengals. Age: 28.
Anthony Collins took over the left tackle position once Andrew Whitworth moved inside to compensate for injuries. Collins performed well. He's a passable starter.

8. Michael Oher, OT, Ravens. Age: 28.
Michael Oher can be a very good blocker when focused, but he often has mental lapses, hurting his team with penalties and surrendered sacks.

9. David Stewart, OT, Titans. Age: 32.
David Stewart used to be one of the better right tackles in the NFL, but he's past his prime. He's still a serviceable starter, but he's not the Pro Bowl-caliber talent he used to be.

10. Tyson Clabo, OT, Dolphins. Age: 32.
Tyson Clabo was an absolute abomination in the first half of the season, which was a surprise because he was always a solid tackle for the Falcons. However, he picked up the slack and performed very well in the final two months. The downside is that he turns 33 in October.

11. Zach Strief, OT, Saints. Age: 31.
Zach Strief was abused by Chris Long in the Week 15 loss to the Rams, but otherwise showed improvement this season as the team's right tackle.

12. Mike Johnson, OT, Falcons. Age: 27.
Mike Johnson was set to be the starting right tackle this season, but he was lost for the year in training camp with a fractured fibula.

13. Byron Bell (RFA), OT, Panthers. Age: 25.
Byron Bell has been a serviceable right tackle for the Panthers the past few years, but they could stand to find an upgrade at this spot.

14. Eric Winston, OT, Cardinals. Age: 30.
Eric Winston struggled mightily in the first half of the season, surrendering five sacks in his first five games with the Cardinals. However, he gave up just two sacks the entire rest of the way.

15. Khalif Barnes, OT, Raiders. Age: 32.
Khalif Barnes was forced to play left tackle in the wake of Jared Veldheer's injury. This was viewed as a disaster area, but Barnes actually held up pretty well, surrendering only three sacks in 11 starts on the blind side.

Charles Brown, OT, Saints. Age: 27.
17. J'Marcus Webb, OT, Vikings. Age: 26.
18. Cameron Bradfield (RFA), OT, Jaguars. Age: 26.
19. Ryan Harris, OT, Texans. Age: 29.
20. Marshall Newhouse, OT, Packers. Age: 25.
21. Winston Justice, OT, Broncos. Age: 29.
22. Tony Pashos, OT, Raiders. Age: 34.
23. Jamon Meredith, OT, Buccaneers. Age: 28.
24. Mike Otto, OT, Titans. Age: 31.
25. Will Svitek, OT, Patriots. Age: 32.
26. Guy Whimper, OT, Steelers. Age: 31.
27. Eben Britton, OT, Bears. Age: 26.
28. Garry Williams, OT, Panthers. Age: 28.
29. Jason Fox, OT, Lions. Age: 26.
30. David Dihel, OT, Giants. Age: 33.

Guards

1. Travelle Wharton, G, Panthers. Age: 33.
Travelle Wharton was just a backup in the first month of the season, but he eventually took over the starting left guard position and was a monstrous blocker. He'll be 33 right after the 2014 NFL Draft.

2. Geoff Schwartz, G, Chiefs. Age: 28.
Geoff Schwartz started in the second half of the season and was pretty dominant. He appears to be over a hip injury that knocked him out for the entire 2011 season.

3. Kevin Boothe, G, Giants. Age: 31.
Kevin Boothe isn't a spectacular starter, but he's not bad either. His best attribute is his versatility; he can play all three positions in the interior.

4. John Jerry, G, Dolphins. Age: 28.
John Jerry is not a good fit for Miami's blocking scheme, so he should head elsewhere.

5. Willie Colon, G, Jets. Age: 31.
Willie Colon did a good job as the Jets' starting right guard this season, outside of his penalties. He pass protected very well. Unfortunately, he tore his biceps in the season finale.

6. Brian Waters, G, Cowboys. Age: 37.
Brian Waters is a good blocker and an even better leader in the locker room, but he's 37 in February and happens to be coming off a season-ending triceps injury.

7. Zane Beadles, G, Broncos. Age: 27.
Zane Beadles has played well in the past, but he struggled this previous season, especially in terms of pass protection.

8. Jon Asamoah, G, Chiefs. Age: 26.
Jon Asamoah was benched in the second half of the season, but he had actually blocked rather well when he was in the lineup. His replacement, Geoff Schwartz, was just better.

9. Chad Rinehart, G, Chargers. Age: 29.
Chad Rinehart is a decent guard. He might be ranked a little higher if he didn't constantly endure foot problems.

Shawn Lauvao, G, Browns. Age: 26.
11. Paul McQuistan, G, Seahawks. Age: 31.
12. Richie Incognito, G, Dolphins. Age: 31.
13. Chris Williams, G, Rams. Age: 29.
14. Mike Pollak, G, Bengals. Age: 29.
15. Charlie Johnson, G, Vikings. Age: 30.
16. Vladimir Ducasse, G, Jets. Age: 26.
17. Lemuel Jeanpierre, G, Seahawks. Age: 27.
18. Chris Kuper, G, Broncos. Age: 31.
19. Chris Scott, G, Panthers. Age: 27.
20. Rob Turner, G, Titans. Age: 30.
21. Jeff Byers (RFA), G, Panthers. Age: 28.
22. Shelley Smith (RFA), G, Rams. Age: 27.
23. Wade Smith, G, Texans. Age: 33.
24. Oniel Cousins, G, Browns. Age: 30.

Centers

1. Alex Mack, C, Browns. Age: 28.
Alex Mack is a top-five NFL center in his prime. He needs to be paid accordingly.

2. Evan Dietrich-Smith, C, Packers. Age: 28.
Evan Dietrich-Smith has been a strong starting center for the Packers the past year and a half. He's solid in both pass protection and run blocking. He can also play guard.

3. Brian De La Puente, C, Saints. Age: 29.
Brian De La Puente has been a quality starting center for the Saints during the past few seasons. He deserves a decently sized contract.

4. Roberto Garza, C/G, Bears. Age: 35.
The versatile Roberto Garza had yet another solid season for the Bears. Unfortunately, he'll turn 35 in March.

5. Dominic Raiola, C, Lions. Age: 35.
Re-signed with Lions (1 year)

Dominic Raiola surprisingly played well in 2013 after a couple of down seasons. He just turned 35 though, so he'll regress quickly soon.

6. Jonathan Goodwin, C, 49ers. Age: 35.
Jonathan Goodwin has told reporters that retirement has crossed his mind, but that didn't stop him from playing well in 2013. Goodwin will be 36 in December.

7. Rich Ohrnberger, C, Chargers. Age: 28.
Rich Ohrnberger played very well in place of an injured Nick Hardwick in San Diego's playoff victory over Cincinnati.

8. Ryan Wendell, C, Patriots. Age: 28.
Ryan Wendell had an excellent 2012 campaign, so his regression is a total mystery. He was so bad this year that he nearly got Tom Brady killed in several games.

2014 NFL Free Agents: Tight Ends

1. Jimmy Graham, TE, Saints. Age: 27.
Jimmy Graham is an unstoppable force. He's an athletic beast, and the scary thing is that he's only going to get better over the next couple of seasons as he continues to increase his football IQ.

2. Dennis Pitta, TE, Ravens. Age: 29.
Think Joe Flacco missed Dennis Pitta for most of the 2013 season? Pitta came back from a hip injury and caught 20 balls for 169 yards and a touchdown in just four games.

3. Brandon Pettigrew, TE, Lions. Age: 29.
Brandon Pettigrew has great talent, but he's never been able to live up to his potential. He constantly screws up, whether it's dropping passes, fumbling or missing assignments. Maybe he can put it together on a new team, but time is running out for him.

4. Brandon Myers, TE, Giants. Age: 28.
Brandon Myers caught 79 passes in 2012, but was a major disappointment with the Giants. He and Eli Manning just never clicked.

5. Jermichael Finley, TE, Packers. Age: 27.
Jermichael Finley always had great talent, but could never put it together on the field - until the first half of this past season. He was playing well, but unfortunately suffered a season-ending neck injury. It remains to be seen whether he can be 100 percent again.

6. Scott Chandler, TE, Bills. Age: 29.
Scott Chandler is just an average tight end. His size (6-7, 263) makes him a solid end-zone target.

7. Fred Davis, TE, Redskins. Age: 28.
Fred Davis has never lived up to his potential because of numerous injuries. His talent might be sapped, but he's only 28, so he's worth a shot at a cheap price.

8. Kellen Winslow Jr., TE, Jets. Age: 31.
Kellen Winslow played much better than expected this season - despite missing a handful of games - but he's still a shell of his former self.

9. Dustin Keller, TE, Dolphins. Age: 29.
Dustin Keller should probably be a 1.5-star free agent, but I'll bump him up for the write-up. Keller tore his ACL, MCL and PCL in a preseason game, and if that wasn't enough, he also dislocated his knee. He's going to have a tough time coming back from this injury, so he'll have to sign a short-term "prove it" deal.

10. Garrett Graham, TE, Texans. Age: 28.
11. Ed Dickson, TE, Ravens. Age: 27.
12. Andrew Quarless, TE, Packers. Age: 25.
13. Ben Hartsock, TE, Panthers. Age: 34.
14. Jeff Cumberland, TE, Jets. Age: 27.
15. Bear Pascoe, TE, Giants. Age: 28.
16. Dante Rosario, TE, Bears. Age: 29.
17. Nate Byham (RFA), TE, Buccaneers. Age: 26.
18. Alex Smith, TE, Bengals. Age: 32.
19. David Johnson, TE, Steelers. Age: 27.
20. Michael Hoomanawanui, TE, Patriots. Age: 26.
21. Jim Dray, TE, Cardinals. Age: 27.
22. Jake Ballard, TE, Cardinals. Age: 26.
23. Anthony McCoy, TE, Seahawks. Age: 26.
24. Richie Brockel (RFA), TE, Panthers. Age: 28.
25. Allen Reisner (RFA), TE, Jaguars. Age: 25.
26. Clay Harbor, TE, Jaguars. Age: 27.
27. Dallas Clark, TE, Ravens. Age: 35.
28. Jeff King, TE, Cardinals. Age: 31.
29. Chase Coffman, TE, Falcons. Age: 27.
30. Zach Miller, TE, Buccaneers. Age: 29.

Wide Receivers

1. Eric Decker, WR, Broncos. Age: 27.
For those who say Eric Decker is just a product of Peyton Manning, Decker can just point to the eight touchdowns he caught with Kyle Orton and Tim Tebow. Decker does have an issue with drops sometimes, however.

2. James Jones, WR, Packers. Age: 30.
James Jones is a talent receiver who struggled with drops early in his career. He fixed that problem while catching 14 touchdowns in 2012. However, teams better make sure they don't overpay a 30-year-old wideout who has never tallied more than 1,000 receiving yards in a season.

3. Riley Cooper, WR, Eagles. Age: 26.
Riley Cooper has trouble separating at times, but he's a big target, and Nick Foles loves lobbing it up to him. Cooper's off-the-field racist incident seems to be behind him.

4. Anquan Boldin, WR, 49ers. Age: 33.
Anquan Boldin will be 34 in October, but he just continues to make clutch plays in big games. He's still an outstanding No. 2 possession receiver.

5. Julian Edelman, WR, Patriots. Age: 28.
Everyone assumed Danny Amendola would take over Wes Welker's role, but Julian Edelman stepped up instead. He caught 105 passes this past season. He's also an effective punt returner.

6. Hakeem Nicks, WR, Giants. Age: 26.
Hakeem Nicks, who has never played a full 16-game season, has seen his production slip because of injuries and lethargy. He has tons of talent, but time is running out for him to put it together.

7. Jeremy Maclin, WR, Eagles. Age: 26.
Jeremy Maclin is more talented than an ordinary 2.5-star free agent, but he's always nursing some sort of injury. He happens to be coming off a torn ACL this time. He's also never recorded more than 1,000 receiving yards in a season.

8. Dexter McCluster, WR/KR, Chiefs. Age: 26.
Dexter McCluster is a nifty offensive player and a much better return specialist. He scored twice on special teams in 2013.

9. Golden Tate, WR, Seahawks. Age: 26.
Golden Tate functioned as Seattle's No. 1 receiver this season, but he's better served as a secondary option - and just an above-average one at that. Tate recorded 64 catches, 898 yards and five touchdowns in 2013.

10. Kenny Britt, WR, Titans. Age: 25.
Kenny Britt can be a dominant receiver, but a combination of injuries and lethargy have sapped his play-making ability. He's only 25 though, so maybe he can bounce back on a new team.

11. Devin Hester, KR, Bears. Age: 31.
The greatest return specialist in NFL history, Devin Hester proved that he's still dangerous by taking back a punt for a touchdown in 2013. He'll be 32 in November though, so it remains to be seen how much longer he'll be effective.

12. Emmanuel Sanders, WR, Steelers. Age: 27.
The Steelers could've turned Emmanuel Sanders into a third-round pick last offseason. They're probably regretting not pulling the trigger. Sanders is a sub-par No. 2 wideout.

13. Ted Ginn, WR/KR, Panthers. Age: 29.
Any write-up of Ted Ginn would be useless. Instead, click here to read about how much Ted Ginn hates me.

14. Jacoby Jones, KR, Ravens. Age: 30.
Jacoby Jones is an outstanding return specialist, but he proved himself incapable of being a No. 2 receiver. He'll turn 30 in July, so that's a negative.

15. Doug Baldwin (RFA), WR, Seahawks. Age: 25.
Doug Baldwin, a reliable receiver for Russell Wilson, caught 50 balls for 778 yards and five touchdowns in 2013.

16. Andrew Hawkins (RFA), WR, Bengals. Age: 28.
Andrew Hawkins is a speedy receiver who is coming off a lost 2013 campaign in which he missed the first eight games with an injured hamstring.

17. Andre Roberts, WR, Cardinals. Age: 26.
Andre Roberts is a very solid No. 3 receiver. He's had issues with drops in the past, but he appears to have fixed that issue.

18. Mario Manningham, WR, 49ers. Age: 28.
Mario Manningham has essentially lost two seasons because he hasn't been able to stay healthy. Perhaps he'll remain on the field going forward, but he's a risky signing.

Brandon LaFell, WR, Panthers. Age: 27.
20. Danario Alexander, WR, Chargers. Age: 26.
21. Jerricho Cotchery, WR, Steelers. Age: 32.
22. Andre Caldwell, WR, Broncos. Age: 29.
23. Santana Moss, WR, Redskins. Age: 35.
24. Jerome Simpson, WR, Vikings. Age: 28.
25. Robert Meachem, WR, Saints. Age: 29.
26. Kris Durham, WR, Lions. Age: 26.
27. Marc Mariani, WR/KR, Titans. Age: 27.
28. Michael Spurlock, WR/KR, Lions. Age: 31.
29. Brandon Tate, WR/KR, Bengals. Age: 26.
30. Jacoby Ford, WR/KR, Raiders. Age: 27.
31. Joe Morgan (RFA), WR, Saints. Age: 26.
32. Lestar Jean (RFA), WR, Texans. Age: 26.
33. Damian Williams, WR, Titans. Age: 26.
34. Josh Morgan, WR, Redskins. Age: 29.
35. Tandon Doss (RFA), PR, Ravens. Age: 24.
36. Domenik Hixon, WR, Panthers. Age: 29.
37. Eric Page, WR, Buccaneers. Age: 22.
38. Louis Murphy, WR, Giants. Age: 27.
39. Dane Sanzenbacher (RFA), WR, Bengals. Age: 25.
40. Taylor Price, WR, Jaguars. Age: 27.
41. Dezmon Briscoe, WR, Redskins. Age: 25.
42. Kyle Williams, WR, Chiefs. Age: 26.
43. Plaxico Burress, WR, Steelers. Age: 37.

2014 NFL Free Agents: Running Backs

1. Ben Tate, RB, Texans. Age: 26.
Ben Tate suffered a season-ending injury prior to his rookie campaign in 2010, allowing Arian Foster to take over as Houston's primary running back. Had this never happened, Tate probably would've been an occasional Pro Bowler. Tate is a very talented runner, though he's not nearly as effective on third down as Foster happens to be. He's also injury-prone, which is why he's not rated higher.

2. Knowshon Moreno, RB, Broncos. Age: 27.
The Montee Ball draft pick seemed to light a fire under Knowshon Moreno, who is coming off a career year. There's definitely concern, however, that he didn't start giving maximum effort until his contract season. Also, don't forget how injury-prone he's been before 2013. Caveat emptor.

3. Andre Brown, RB, Giants. Age: 27.
Andre Brown is a strong runner who happens to be a solid pass-catcher. He also blocks well. Unfortunately, he had a fumbling problem down the stretch.

4. LeGarrette Blount, RB, Patriots. Age: 27.
LeGarrette Blount has turned his career around in New England. Tampa Bay thoughtlessly discarded him, yet Blount was able to find a home with the Patriots. He averaged five yards per carry in 2013, though he still isn't any sort of factor in the passing game.

5. Darren McFadden, RB, Raiders. Age: 27.
Darren McFadden has been through so many injuries that he's been sapped of all explosiveness. He's averaged 3.5 yards per carry or worse the past two seasons. Perhaps he can rebound in a better offense and become a legitimate threat again.

6. Maurice Jones-Drew, RB, Jaguars. Age: 29.
Maurice Jones-Drew's 2013 campaign was easily the worst of his career, but two things to keep in mind: First, he was running behind an offensive line with no talent whatsoever, all while opposing defenses were stacking the box against him. Second, he had a terrible injury in 2012, so he wasn't 100 percent. I wouldn't be surprised if he bounces back in 2014, assuming, of course, he lands in a much better situation.

7. Donald Brown, RB, Colts. Age: 27.
The Trent Richardson trade sparked Donald Brown, who averaged 5.3 yards per carry in 2013. He's a quality pass-catcher.

8. Rashad Jennings, RB, Raiders. Age: 29.
Rashad Jennings was given a chance to prove himself when Maurice Jones-Drew suffered an injury in 2012, but struggled mightily. That's why it was so surprising that he thrived with the Raiders, outplaying Darren McFadden by a wide margin.

9. Joique Bell (RFA), RB, Lions. Age: 28.
Joique Bell is a great pass-catching running back. He's caught at least 50 balls in each of the past two seasons.

10. James Starks, RB, Packers. Age: 28.
James Starks averaged 5.5 yards per carry this season behind Eddie Lacy. He can be used as a starter, but he's better off as a strong, chance-of-pace No. 2 back.

11. Ahmad Bradshaw, RB, Colts. Age: 28.
Ahmad Bradshaw is a quality runner when he's actually on the field, but he's dealt with way too many foot and neck injuries to be relied upon as a starter.

12. Rashard Mendenhall, RB, Cardinals. Age: 27.
There's no reason Rashard Mendenhall should've received more touches than Andre Ellington in the second half of this past season. He's just yet another Big Ten plodder.

Toby Gerhart, RB, Vikings. Age: 27.
14. Brian Leonard, RB, Buccaneers. Age: 30.
15. Jordan Todman, RB, Jaguars. Age: 24.
16. Felix Jones, RB, Steelers. Age: 27.
17. Ronnie Brown, RB, Chargers. Age: 32.
18. Fozzy Whittaker, RB, Browns. Age: 25.
19. La'Rod Stephens-Howling, RB, Steelers. Age: 27.
20. Anthony Dixon, RB, 49ers. Age: 26.
21. Phillip Tanner, RB, Cowboys. Age: 26.
22. Willis McGahee, RB, Browns. Age: 32.

Fullbacks

1. John Kuhn, FB, Packers. Age: 31.
John Kuhn is a stout blocker who can catch some passes out of the backfield. Unfortunately, he'll be turning 32 in early September.

2. Greg Jones, FB, Texans. Age: 33.
See what happened to Maurice Jones-Drew without Greg Jones? The long-time Jaguar is one of the top run-blocking fullbacks in the NFL.

3. Henry Hynoski, FB, Giants. Age: 25.
Henry Hynoski is a strong blocker, but missed 13 games in 2013 with a shoulder injury.

2014 NFL Free Agents: Quarterbacks

1. Josh McCown, QB, Bears. Age: 35.
Josh McCown credited Kurt Warner for his improved play. Perhaps Warner should be an NFL coach because McCown was prolific when starting in place of Jay Cutler, completing 66.5 percent of his passes and maintaining a 13-to-1 touchdown-to-interception ratio on an 8.2 YPA.

2. QB Eagles No. 7, QB, Eagles. Age: 34.
QBDK is a turnover machine incapable of reading defenses or recognizing blitzes. He still has some athletic ability, but that's diminishing every single season.

3. Josh Freeman, QB, Vikings. Age: 26.
Josh Freeman can be a decent starting quarterback if he ever gets his act clean up and is once again paired with a quarterback guru (like he was with Greg Olson). Unfortunately, Freeman is just a project right now.

4. Shaun Hill, QB, Lions. Age: 34.
Shaun Hill is one of the top backup quarterbacks in the NFL, but he just turned 34.

5. Chad Henne, QB, Jaguars. Age: 29.
6. Tarvaris Jackson, QB, Seahawks. Age: 31.
7. Luke McCown, QB, Saints. Age: 33.
8. Kellen Clemens, QB, Rams. Age: 31.
9. Matt Flynn, QB, Packers. Age: 29.
10. Rex Grossman, QB, Redskins. Age: 34.
11. Colt McCoy, QB, 49ers. Age: 27.
Joe Webb, QB/WR, Vikings. Age: 27.
13. Dan Orlovsky, QB, Buccaneers. Age: 31.
14. Derek Anderson, QB, Panthers. Age: 31.
15. Charlie Whitehurst, QB, Chargers. Age: 32.
16. Jimmy Clausen, QB, Panthers. Age: 26.
17. Zac Robinson (RFA), QB, Bengals. Age: 27.
18. Curtis Painter, QB, Giants. Age: 29.
19. Jordan Palmer, QB, Bears. Age: 30.
20. Seneca "The Backdoor Bandit" Wallace, QB, Packers. Age: 34.
21. Jon Kitna, QB, Cowboys. Age: 41.

Jenkins is a guy that intrigues me.

He's a really talented kid that hasn't, for some reason, played to his potential.

If you could get him at a reasonable price, he could be a low risk, high reward signing.

Orakpo is the 2nd one down for DE. I left off the bottom half off at Safety on accident

If you could get him at a reasonable price, he could be a low risk, high reward signing.
I would sign him to compete for the starting FS spot.

They (Dorsey) seems to be inclined to these types of signings.

Jenkins or Nate Allen would be nice additions.

I also like Major Wright a lot and think he's just beginning to hit his stride. A little surprised that this ranking had him (and Riley Cooper) this high.

Everytime you post something I agree with, I find myself questioning my opinions.

I would love for Donte Whitner to be sitting next to Berry in the secondary. I don't care (too much) about the penalties. I want someone who is going to intimidate people back there.

We need to fix our FS problem in free agency and invest in the WR spot in the draft.
