The only problem you have is that Belichick doesn't play that kind of aggressive defense.

He wants to sit back, rush 3 or 4, and occasionally send an extra man or two on a blitz.

Denver was literally sending Cover 0 blitzes at the Chiefs, sending the freaking house again and again.

They could afford to do that because they have guys like Chubb and Von Miller.

You got Trey Daffodil or Hibiscus or whatever his name is.

Belichick is going to do what he always does against a guy like Mahomes. Play pocket contain to prevent him from getting outside, and give the QB way too much time, and then we are just going to pick you apart.

You will need FIFTY points on offense to win this game.

Thanks for that gif, because that's exactly the play I was referring to when I said that it's up to the coaching staff to not make brain dead play calls at the end of the game. That situation calls for zone coverage all day.

Our coaches aren't buffoons, luckily.

Guess what, no coverage is a good call in a scramble drill against a guy with a cannon.

There's no need to get aggressive on every snap against this type of offense. Bill's philosophy on defense as a head coach has resulted in 8 SB trips, 5 trophies, hundreds upon hundreds of wins, and millions of salty fans.

I've already addressed how he will play against this offense in my previous posts.

You better. It's the only thing that has remotely worked so far.

If you sit back "Kermit" is going to turn your secondary into Miss Piggy after a couple of Zimas.

The guy recognizes the holes in coverage and exploits matchups with LIGHTNING speed.

Also, how exactly do you guys hope to score in the 30s or 40s, like many have predicted, when NE rattles off 10 minute drives because your defense can't stop the run?

Blake Bortles on the road vs Tom Brady in Foxboro, with all of his weapons back, and a run game.

Good call, chief.

It never fails. Fans of the lesser 31 always manage to make our wins even sweeter with posts like these.
"Unfamiliar with how a championship team is built"

"the lesser 31"

HOLY ****ING DOUCHE.

I swear, pretending like you know more about football and are somehow better because you like a particular football team is about the most pathetic thing I've seen in a while.

The long drive thing is dumb because long drives require completing third downs. But the chiefs have best third down defense in the league. And the more plays ran the more opportunity for sacks or other negative plays. Trying for long drives plays into the Chiefs’ hands for how they can be successful on defense.
