Food everyone else loves, but you think is overrated

Just thinking about foods that everyone else seems to think is the greatest thing ever, and you just don't get...

Me: Nutella. I'd never tried it until today when someone at the grocery store had samples of those little snack packs. So I tried it. It's not bad, but it's certainly overrated.

So I'm trying to think of other things like this. What do you have for me?

I eat like a pig when the work is done for the day.

Trust me, installing and refinishing wood floors takes a lot of energy, and I have found out what works and what doesn't. Eating a few bowls of cereal is basically calling it a half-day in my line of work.

Yes, there is cereal that is good for you and actually helps with energy level. It sucks, though.

I will take a bowl of oatmeal over that kind of cereal any day.

I'm not going to argue any longer. If you have a brain and know what you're eating, cereal is a great option.

It's a poor, unsatisfying option.

5 eggs = 350 calories, 35g of protein, tastes ****ing awesome, and keeps you full until lunch

Cereal.

Cereal is a pretty gigantic waste of calories. Not much for protein, little fat and mostly carbs. I haven't ate cereal for years.

Hey I love a good egg and bacon or sausage breakfast as much as the next guy. But cereal works for me too when I'm heading out to work in the morning.

You could say that about most items on anyone's diet. There's almost always a "better" option.

Cereal isn't making America fat.

It's mostly all carbs. Would you just eat a few potatoes for your dinner?

I've observed individuals cutting pizza with a knife and fork and dipping every single bite in ranch dressing.

Ranch dip pisses me off.

My wife dips everything in it, and now my kids feel the need, too. If something doesn't taste good enough to eat on it's own, DON'T ****ING ORDER IT.

I have a friend that thinks every meal should be served with ketchup and ranch, or as he calls them, "red sauce" and "white sauce."
