Makes sense..I would say Barkley mirrors Alex Smith in terms of similar skill set..If KC can get him in the 3rd round, then I wouldn't be too upset..

Someone would have to be in love with him to take him that high..It may happen, but I don't want him in the 1st...He's a USC guy...Just look at that list of QBs that have come out of that system in the last few years..

rumor is, and its a strong one that he wont make it past arians at 7. seems logical, geno smith is not an arians type. he wants a more traditional passer.

I was thinking more of a trade down to get out of #1 and still grab Barkley. And I think Barkley will be considerably better than Alex Smith.

Let some other team draft him..Last time I checked we just traded 2 picks for Alex Smith...
We need to accept that Alex Smith is the guy... We have more glaring holes to fill...If Reid/Dorsey were going to draft Barkley or any other QB with the 1st pick, they wouldn't have dealt for Alex...What Dorsey/Reid have accomplished is draft flexibility..Filling holes so we can go into the draft and draft the BPA.. My comments may not be the most popular in here, but I don't want Matt Barkley..If he is skipped and drops to the 3rd round, then I have no problem taking a flyer on him..That is what I was getting at with that post.. |
