we are going to find out i suppose. Maybe you are right, he will suck. I doubt it. Hes learned to take whats there and not to force things. Now was some of that him knowing that kaep was the qbotf? Sure. So maybe with Andy, andy will tell him to take some risks. We will see. I agree with you. I think alex is better than some think, but not by much. I think he can do enough that every sunday you have a chance to win.

I don't think he will be god awful, he will be conservative like Cassel was and make dump off throws which won't get us anywhere.

Yeah, we destroyed them that game. Like, 30-3 final score or some shit.

To be fair, though, we made their entire team look like shit. Moeaki scored that amazing TD grab on Navarro Bowman and I remember one particular play where Thomas Jones outran Pat Willis.

It's easy to beat Alex Smith offenses when you shut down the run.

I'd love the opportunity to ask Andy Reid a line of questions regarding the specifics of why he likes Alex Smith so much.

He said during the introductory press conference of AS that he has tried to trade for Alex Smith multiple times in the last few years. He sees something that he really thinks he can take advantage of.

they are one and the same.

Matt Cassel is god-awful.

Alex Smith played like shit when he had shit coaches, played good when he's had good coaches...so I think Reid will have him in a position to succeed x

That being said, I think Reid will take a QB with an early draft pick...

now go rape an AIDS fire.

As a 49er fan I'm very grateful that you took the weird Alex Smith Cult off of our blogs. I've been reading their excuses for his suckitude for 8 years now and it's a monumental relief to have them gone.

On the flip side, as a human being I am sorry you have to deal with these delusional twats. I've never understood the blind devotion to such a mediocre quarterback.

Tebow at least had the religious angle. That was sort of understandable. What does Alex have other than being from Utah? Maybe Utah explains it - they do grow some crazies there.

From what I've seen most of you guys recognize the Cassel/Alex resemblence... except for a bizarrely familiar group with a Feb/Mar 2013 join date. Keep in mind - this group was never a 49ers group and it will never be a Chiefs group. It was, is and always will be an Alex Smith group.

You think Harbaugh would take him back for 2 picks?

The 49ers could use a backup. I'll bet Baalke would be willing to give up a 4th rounder for Alex.

And yet he didn't sign him for free when Alex was a free agent last year and Andy was desperate for a QB. Yeah that dog don't hunt.
