I wish the big match wasn't right at 5 CST today. Hopefully I can watch the end of it.

Maybe the 50,000 children who just crossed the border will help...
With the exception of Besler and Zusi, the starting 11 is made up entirely of veterans of the top leagues in Europe.

Howard (Prem)
Beasley (Prem, Scottish Prem, Holland)
Cameron (Prem)
F. Johnson (Bundesliga)
J. Jones (Bundesliga)
Bradley (Bundesliga, Holland, Prem, Serie A)
Bedoya (French Ligue 1)
Dempsey (Prem)
Altidore (Prem)

We can COMPETE with anybody. Bradley and Dempsey are top talents who could play for just about any club in the world.

The top-to-bottom talent of our roster has improved with every World Cup.

The USMNT and MLS are both on a positive trajectory that doesn't look to be slowing anytime soon.

I fully expect the US to come into this World Cup and show well, group of death be damned.

It's the group of death because WE ARE IN IT.

I agree to an extent. We are much better than we used to be. We can compete. We can make it out of the group stage.

One thing though, where's our Neymar? Our Messi? Our Ronaldo or Suarez?

When I said world class talent, I meant WORLD CLASS, not just good enough to be a part of a rotation in a top league. Hell, Bradley played what, every other game? Jozy's struggling b/c of service? Where's our guy who succeeds despite service? World class is a missing component of US soccer. We have talent, but we need to produce a top name in the world at a position or two. Not at every position, but certainly a few if we ever expect to win the Cup.

Is there a single player on this national team who is the best at his position in our group?

Yeah, Howard isn't even a top 5 goal keeper, much less the best.

He was referring to him as the best at his position in our group. You can argue, but Neuer is in the argument for best in the world.
