Bumping this...
I recently installed Windows 7 on a laptop and am having all these issues you guys described. I've tried Chrome, Firefox and IE. All flash players are having issues. I've tried disabling hardware acceleration, changing Flash to not use "protected mode" in the config file, uninstalling/reinstalling. Nothing has worked. I never had these issues on the same laptop running XP. My kids have homework that they do online and all those sites use Flash. With the homework games they use, they run fine for 5 or 10 minutes, and then slow down to a crawl. In fact, the entire system slows to a crawl...even after shutting down the browser. After that, the system will only get back to normal after a reboot, or waiting for about 30 minutes. When playing streaming video, it gets bad much quicker...usually within a minute. The video will start chopping, and the audio will mess up. It's a Dell Latitude E6500. I usually have it in a docking station, but I've tried it docked and undocked and that doesn't seem to make a difference. Has anyone found a definitive fix for this? |
