2nd most important position in football?
To be honest you can put my knowledge of football on a stamp and there would be plenty of space left. I really have no ideas. I'm a patriot fan and for me its TE Rob Gronkowski but no way in hell is TE the second most important position. For the seahawks its probably Marsawn Lynn or maybe Richard Sherman.

I'm not convinced passrusher are this important. The patriots had never any great passrusher. Going further did the 49ers or the cowboys had any great ones? I don't know. As for LT's the patriots won three superbowls with Matt Light. I personnally would say cb but at the end of the day it all depent on the qb. There is probably no other sport where one position is this important.

Beyond that, probably great blocking, or great pass rushibg, either/or.

pass rush rank imo

1. interior - make everyone else on the Dline so much better and makes the QB almost immediately nervous

2. outside - no special play necessary to get pressure on QB

3. blitzer - downside is that the DC has to call a blitz first and it leads to a hole in coverage
