It's like Haith tries far too hard to let guys play "their game", even when it's to the detriment of the team:

Clarkson doesn't distribute to the post when he drives and help comes, but rather puts his head down and charges head-first. This is somewhat excusable because he's so good at finding a shot when none seems available

Ross thinks he'll hit every three, and will opt for the three even if there's nothing but space in front of him. Mind you, he's 6' 5" and something like 250 pounds of pure muscle, which is basically what you would put on paper under the description of "slashing wing who should drive whenever possible"

Williams has missed something like 17 million put backs, being denied by the rim nearly every time. Instead of suggesting, "hey, just pull it down, bud", they seem to think this is merely the law of averages at play and those will start falling. They won't.
