Kansas didn't make any calls. Kansas wins. Missouri doesn't win, called the Big 10 and was laughed out the door. The SEC needed towns with population and tv sets because when you really look at it there isn't nearly the people in the South to buy into a network that they're trying to peddle.

The funny thing is that Missouri has done practically nothing for the SEC appeal. The network is still begging cable companies to take them on and it's not happening.

I'd run quick and sign the petition. Hurts doesn't it? To beg to get accepted somewhere and still find out you're worthless.

lol, no…. Schools need to play both in order for scheduling and seasonal match ups work year in and year out. That was the whole point of the program.

You're just making things up, young man. That wasn't the "whole point of the program." The point was (and this has already been hashed over in this thread) that football drives realignment decisions. Basketball just takes the ride. Just ask Jim Boeheim.

ATT U Verse : 5.7 million
Dish Netwok : about 15 million
Google Fiber : so low they won't even publish a number

I suppose the argument could be made that Texas and the other schools left to merge with the Big 8 to form something new with new guidelines, rules, etc.

Different from the idea of these schools leaving to go join the firmly established conference of the PAC-12. The old Southwest teams brought their traditions and business model with them.

I see your point but still think it's very different.
