Final Banner thread

It just comes down to wording now...

FIRE GM - DRAFT 1ST RD QB - RESTORE HOPE - SOC

NEW QB - NEW GM - NEW HOPE - SOC

---------

Had to change the first suggestion slightly because the airline guys don't have a # tile.

That was when we had 3 banners up for a vote. It is only a majority vote when there are only 2.

I think that if you put it up to a vote, more people would choose to give the remaining $960 to Boys/Girls Clubs instead of running a banner - especially a banner that you're getting a lot of negative feedback about.

SOC has done everything they intended to do, and more. Nothing you do (or don't do) is going to change Clark's mind one way or the other at this point.

The message has been sent loud and clear. Another banner is just keeping $500+ dollars out of the hands of a worthy charity - a charity that might be able to use that last minute donation to buy a few extra Christmas presents, etc.

I'm fine, but if it happens acceptance should be prevalent since SOC broadcasted the vague " New QB" instead of "Draft 1st RD QB". Clark will OK it thinking everything is right as rain with the fanba se with the new FA QB.

The best gift that we can give underprivileged children is a winning football team and a thunderously loud Arrowhead. It inspires them and gives them hope.

So your theory is that the new GM will sit at his desk, review the banner message, and assume that Chiefs fans don't care if a quarterback is good, but that perhaps they don't like the jersey numbers of the current quarterbacks? Or that they're clamoring for a quarterback who likes barbecue?

Maybe I have higher expectations of a GM than I should, but my assumption is that a GM would look at the situation and say, "Hey, our quarterbacks are terrible and we haven't drafted and developed a quarterback since the Nixon administration. I wonder if perhaps the Chiefs fans really want a good quarterback, as opposed to just a different quarterback."
