If the Chiefs go 8-8 or better 49ers get a 2nd round pick.

A third- or second-rounder from Kansas City, the remnant of the Alex Smith deal. Now it can be told: The second draft choice San Francisco will receive from the Smith deal will be K.C.'s second-rounder in 2014 if the Chiefs go 8-8 or better this season. It will be a third-rounder in 2014 if Kansas City is under .500 this season.

So: San Francisco will probably have first-, second- and four third-rounders next year. But if the Chiefs surprise, it'll more likely be a one, two twos and three threes. As we've seen, GM Trent Baalke is dangerous with extra picks in his hands. If Colin Kaepernick is very good, the Niners should be annual contenders for years with the picks laid out that way.

We aren't going to be a running team anymore. We will run it, but the focus will be aerial.
Steelers tried to be a passing team last year- how good did that work out.

WR seems to be our weakest position- I can maybe see dump offs to RB's and short TE passes to compliment- but not an air out team at all. Jeez can you image how good the running game will be if that is our secondary option and teams have to play back for the pass?? I hope you are right- I can see Huge holes for JC to dance through-lol

Since the Steelers drafted Big Ben, they haven't been a run first team. Or atleast IMO, they haven't been.

Now obviously, don't take this as me saying we won't have a good running game. I think we obviously will and I do like that.

But it won't be the focus anymore.

I'm not getting pissy, you asked me for links, I said what I said. Then, I asked you to provide where you think Andy Reid will totally change the way he coaches and runs an offense and you go rant on.

Jesus christ.

Harbaugh went ballistic and demanded a penalty, but no Ref on earth is going to change the outcome of the super bowl on the last play unless a player comes up with bullet holes.

Who knows how "bad" that throw was if Crabtree wasn't being held. It still looks overthrown to me, but we will never know. It was a step and a half off his fingers.

That Jimmy Smith holding non-call could have made the difference in Crabtree raking in that pass.

The Steelers have thrown the ball at about the same rate the last 4 years. They didn't do anything new last year.

NO big deal... but you did say to dickhead on the prior page that "I wanted evidence of why I felt balanced O was coming."

What I was asking in other words... was "are there any linked sources that you have read to make you say that we will pass as much as you think."

in other words, were you JUST going off of Reid's history? or was there more..

Again.. no big deal. Seems simply a misunderstanding.

steelers run the ball. Sometimes they get pass happy because last year they had injuries to their backs

Andy has not won the big one- plus had a shitty year last year and was fired. To think he is going to do the Same Exact thing he always has even though our talent screams Run game............. not sure about that. The Trent Green years were all because we had the #1 run game.

Even Crabtree alluded to the likelihood of a PI call coming, had the ball been remotely catchable.

I really hope we hired a coach, based on what he's done in the past, then immediately ask him to change what he does.

Seems brilliant.
