So, what are our chances of winning the division?

Did you see that juggernaut out there?

That Denver team is way better than last year's version. Manning is better. Their receivers are better. Without three of their most important defenders from last season, the Donkey defense turned Joe Flacco into a shit-eating rape monkey.

That team is a serious Super Bowl contender.

What are we?

You act surprised. The plan from the beginning was Super Bowl run year 2 with Manning. Last year was a tune-up year and it just worked out that the Donx were a benefactor of other teams losing down the streatch. The ONLY chance the Chiefs have is if Manning goes down and the Chiefs play flawless football. Take Manning out of the equation, and the Donx are just another team. He is THAT good.

The good news is: their defense doesn't look very good and the running game looks like it will suck yet again. Bad news is: they still have Peyton and he has a shit ton of weapons to throw to.
Did you forget that the Broncos were missing some key players on defense? Broncos are the class of that division.

Funny how before the game everybody was saying Ravens defense was going to be better and faster than last year. Than of course all of a sudden they missed those old, slow ****ers.
The Broncos were definitely missing some pieces in this game, but everyone expected their defense to suck this game- and it didnt disappoint. In case you missed it, they gave up 30 points, in Denver, to a Flacco-led offense that only gave Ray Rice 12 carries.

.. And, no. The Broncos missing pieces and changes are NO WHERE NEAR what the Ravens were dealing with. They lost two Hall of Famers and 4 more starters ON THE DEFENSE ALONE (Lewis, Reed, Ellerbe, Kruger, Pollard and Cary Williams- 6 is right, right?).

He actually has been good in the playoffs. He had a few rough games but he didn't have the luxury of a) tuck rule, b) timely kicking c) defense. People exagerate his playoff performances.

While I don't disagree with any of the facts in the OP, it is going to get old fast hearing Clay blow the Broncos season-long.

Oddly enough, it's pretty much indisputable that Alex Smith was our best option since Reid/Dorsey arrived to actually win the division this year.

If your complaint is that the Chiefs don't value the QB position properly, this offseason isn't doing you any favors. We got the best QB available.

I'm not high on Alex Smith, and even I know that.

No ****ing shit; they're the class of the AFC. Go back and re-read this thread and you'll see that I expected the Broncos to win 12-14 games this season and the Chiefs maybe 6-10. AGAIN, LAST NIGHT CHANGED NOTHING FOR THE CHIEFS CONCERNING THE BRONCOS. If anything, as someone mentioned earlier, it possibly helped us out in the Wild Card race.

We are one play away from winning the division. The Broncos are all about Peyton Manning. He goes down and the Broncos go down.

Agreed, I have moved on and am in 100% homer mode. *

No. Did you even watch the game? That defense flat out gave up after that TD-drive- that-shouldn't-have-been.

You think that would have happened with Ray Ray threatening to stab bitches in the huddle?

Wrong.

People acting as if the future is set in stone for Geno and EJ is the biggest intellectual dishonesty of this offseason.

Alex Smith was supposed to lead us to the promised land over Peyton. That premise was already insanely hard to believe during the offseason, cause ya know "Peyton's older this year... The Broncos suck! LOL WE OWN DIVISION NOW" Get real. Smith ain't gonna do jackshit for this team.
