Yea. I am no fan of DCU but that fan base deserves a great stadium and better situation. It is just good for the health of the league. We will see how it all shakes out. As far as the awful year it is a surprise to me. I saw DCU as a team right in the edge of the playoff line being in the post season this year.

We'll see indeed; I'm optimistic.

The new owners seem to be committed to the product and also seem to know what they're doing so I'm hoping for an SKC sort of approach to the future. The City is obviously on board as the piece of property they're doing the swap for is RIDICULOUSLY valuable. As in corner property at one of the most desirable (arguably the most desirable) spots in town for residential/dining/bars.

I'll miss being able to walk or shuttle from H Street to & from games so I'm hopeful that either the area is developed further or they do an on-site supporter's pub as I'm not terribly fond of a lot of the pre/post-gaming opportunities on Barracks Row.

Re: this season, I know I expressed my concerns early in the SKC thread and unfortunately it's been even worse than I'd feared. I've not been very active in that thread because I frankly haven't been able to muster the desire after everything that's gone on. I'd considered adopting the Sporks until United got it's sht together, but other than appreciating their style, my heart just isn't quite in it.

But, hey, being a Chiefs fan lately has me used to this sort of thing. So I got that goin' for me. Which is nice.
