Broncos' Clady to miss rest of season

The Denver Broncos will place left tackle Ryan Clady in season-ending injured reserve Wednesday, according to multiple reports.
The All-Pro suffered a Lisfranc sprain in the arch of his left foot in the final minutes of the Broncos' 41-23 victory over the New York Giants on Sunday.
The Broncos were hoping the anchor of their offensive line could return to protect quarterback Peyton Manning before the end of the season, but medical tests on Tuesday ruled that out. The normal recovery time from the Lisfranc injury is three to four months.
Chris Clark, who was signed Friday, will step in as Denver's starting left tackle on Monday night against the Oakland Raiders. Clark started 12 games for the Indianapolis Colts last season.

This could have an enormous impact on the broncos. You don't just replace your best lineman with just anyone. Especially when it comes to protecting the QBs blindside.
The blindside isn't what it used to be, and RT is equally important/CP.

You do have a point. It was crushing when Roaf retired.

Manning is going to need to rely on his quick release all season long. They'll have to change their offensive scheme to deal with the rush coming in at them on the left side. That doesn't even begin to mention what this does to their rush offense. This will impact Denver negatively (fingers crossed).

Hah! Good "break in" game but still, divisional games are always tough.

Manning will still mask the deficiencies likely.

Usually they are. But I expect the broncos to still take care of business. The raiders are a team to watch next year and the year after. They're rebuilding and might have some competitive close games throughout the season. But I don't think theyll be stomping anyone. They only managed to beat the Jaguars by 10...and while that was only one game, the Jaguars are ****ing terrible!

Wait till you guys play teams that can actually rush the passer. I hope both the Chiefs and Broncos are playing well this november; when the broncos march into terrorhead so Tomba and Houston can welcome Manning and whoever their LT is. Should be fun!

With you on all of this. Losing your best ol hurts no matter what, we'll see what can be done when the heat is on. Looking forward to our match up, can't believe it's so late in the season.

The dude is overrated but it definitely hurts them. Their backup LT will become a pro bowler since he will now share in the "never call a hold on Peyton Manning's protection" rule that is the NFL.

Raiders... 2 games 9 sacks... I hope they add to it heavily this week... Not only would I love to see him sacked about 6 times but I would also like to see him hit between the shoulder blades every time he throws the ball.

This is a rare week where I will actually be pulling for the Raiders.

That really shows how far the Raiders-Chiefs rivalry (and hatred) has fallen.
