I don't know about choosing between the options in the OP, but I do feel like this team still has not found its QB. I'll accept that Smith is likely the guy through next year, but I hope he's not extended and I hope the FO is still looking for a QB.

Actually you can't really say that with validity. If the Chiefs still had that pick it could have changed the draft mentality of all the teams. You can't say that with total surety anymore than I can say that he wouldn't have been there.

Im sure if they Chiefs front office had known that Geno would be there in round two, considering that almost everyone expert had him as the first qb taken, and not in the second round mind you, that they probably don't make that trade for Alex Smith.

Just saying. And lets not forget, the jets not only passed of super geno once, they passed on him TWICE, and didn't have to trade up to get him the third time around either.

I would rather be 0-8 and in a position to draft a real FRANCHISE QUARTERBACK!1! If we somehow win the Super Bowl that would be the worst thing to ever happen to this franchise because we would be stuck with Smiff for another year.
