I seriously doubt that. I think that was just a call back to when Huell said something like, "I got one word for ya, Mexico"

Meaning, they could have taken just a fraction of that cash, and run across the border and live large... safely. Then, when Walt says "more or less"... Huell's look just says... "See, man? We totally could have done that." And Walt wouldn't have given a shit. Cost of doing business.

Of course, they didn't know what he was going to do with the $ or that he wouldn't check it more closely later. Plus they made that comment about Walt taking out all the prisoners. They seemed a little scared to steal from him, at least not steal too much.

"Took out 10 guys in jail in a 2 minute window."

Heisenburg is ****ing intimidating. It's about the perception of the character, not the reality we know.

IIRC it was 'close enough.'

The thought did cross my mind that it would have been easy for someone to have placed a GPS locater on the van and track Walt's movements to see where he put the cash. I would have liked to have seen Walt check the van (like he did his car when he found Hank's locater). I don't think that loose end is going to lead anywhere, because they just completely ignored what he did with the van after he dumped the cash. If they would have shown him returning the van to Saul's goons, then I might be considering the possibility a little more heavily.

I don't know. Those two guys definitely did something, and I think it is a little more than just taking a little 'skim' from Walt's money. Maybe they put their own GPS device in the barrel? Walt not checking through the barrels himself really unleashed a potential Pandora's box on his ass and it could bite him.

Does anyone know the figure of how much cash Walt buried?

I just think it is odd he buried it out there in the first place. How is he or Skyler ever going to get to it? Major PITA to access it, and especially if they are being watched.

The GPS theory is plausible, I suppose. Not outrageous.

I don't remember hearing how much was in storage. I think Skyler said she lost track.

when Huell shot a glance at Kuby, I thought he had a look of regret. Walt just figured that they would skim but they decided it was too risky. Kuby knew enough about Walt to realize that he was good with weights and measures and he would be able to estimate the volume of the barrels.

the prop master for the show estimated the pile would be about $80M.

Those two weren't going rip Walt off. If you recall, they mentioned to each other that he was the guy who was able to get 10 guys in jail killed at the same time. Skimming a little off the top is different, and that's what I assumed when they gave each other the look.
