Alex Smith Traded to Chiefs

Well, it looks like the deal is done.

https://twitter.com/intent/user?scre...w_p=tweetembed

Jay Glazer @JayGlazer
49ers have completed a trade with the Chiefs for Alex Smith, tho can't be official til March 12. Chiefs really made a commitment to Smith

Jay Glazer @JayGlazer
Deal has been agreed upon between Chiefs and 49ers. Compensation unclear but I'm told again Chiefs have made a clear commitment to Smith.

havent looked at this thread past 2-3 pages since forever, but these last 2-3 pages are just blowing my mind

Why are Smith fans soooooo ****ing mad that his replacement is finally here?

As if this wasnt in the cards all along!

Dear God all of you, if you're actual Chiefs fans you should be happier than a hog in shit that we landed this young phenom... Smitty will leave KC a FILTHY rich man, why would anyone give a fat shit what happens after that?

I'm not going into the played out 'Alex deserves our respect because...' thing, I've said it over and over and over through the years, so have most other people

He was a plus, now he is a minus... he can cry upon the private island that he buys next year

**** him

If you want context, the reerun inspection starts at Post #30 in that thread.

It's one of the most criminally underrated back-and-forths in CP history in my opinion. I think I'm the only person that got a huge chuckle out of that one, but I don't care. I love it.

We responded to this at the same time. It's almost like our dicks are touching.

Good thing we're not reeruned or else Baby Lee would want to observe.

Great post, though I disagree vociferously with the assertion he was at any point a plus for Kansas City.

He was a "not-minus" but he was never a plus factor for Kansas City. He definitely morphed into a minus last year.

You could argue that HE won the San Diego game, and thereby won the division.

He wasn't good at all vs Carolina or in the playoff game but I disagree he was a minus. 2nd half @ Denver he was clutch, home game vs Denver he was very good, 1st half here at home vs Oakland he was perfect, perfect against Atlanta, came up clutch in the opener. He is what he is can play in the offense doesn't have the arm to throw outside the numbers or be consistent with the deep ball but he's good enough to get you to the playoffs.
