Jeff Francoeur once hit .360 and had an OPS above 1 in his first 37 games. He played 70 games that year hitting .300, 14 homers and 44 RBIs in his first season. He was touted as an elite prospect and "the natural."

How do the dodgers suck? I mean, with all that talent, they should be demolishing that division. I suspect coaching makes far more of a difference than statistical people would have us believe.

3 starting pitchers went down. Bullpen sucks and not to mention for a while 3-4 of our best hitters went down with injuries. Finally starting to get healthy now and in 8 days have made up 5.5 games were. They ere like 10.5 games out not to long ago and are now 4 games out.

Not much u can do when 4 starting pitchers get hurt. Grienke, Billinglsly beckett and Lilly. Not to mention 4 position starters. Kemp, Hanley Crawford, Ellis, hell both Ellis's. But now that folks are healthy made up 5.5 games in 8 days. Not bad.

Puig has brought the energy needed to the dodgers. It's contagious.

In 2005, 21-year-old Braves outfielder Jeff Francoeur burst into the Majors with a .436 batting average in his first 23 games. But Francoeur never developed any plate discipline and never matched the success he enjoyed in his first season. Now 29, Francoeur was cut by the Royals on Saturday after hitting .228 with a puny .642 OPS dating back to the beginning of 2012.
