The bears defense is very easy to beat schematically but they play it so disciplined and know you better than you do it becomes tough to beat. Honestly, it depends. Being basic is fantastic if that is what gives you the best chance of performing well. Additionally, it provides you an opportunity if you were to meet further down the road, which it seems likely the 49ers and Bears could. By playing conservatively or more basic, you could prevent that team from exposing aspects on tape for when it matters most. For example, the 49ers used a 2-guard pull against the Giants in their playoff game but not against anyone else IIRC. The Cardinals in 08 refused to run the ball with Edge until the playoffs.
