Furthermore, Iron Maiden has never had a release sell open at number in the US, let alone sell 1 million copies. Their biggest seller in the US was Fear of the Dark back in 1992, which sold 420,000 copies. And yes, they are playing the casino circuit out West. |

Not trying to slam Maiden but no way are they as popular as Metallica.

Looking at Metallica's tour this year they are playing a couple festivals, a 30,000 seat stadium in Japan, and an exhibition center in Singapore. Yes, Rock in Rio is huge but it is a festival, which Maiden is also playing. |

People started souring on Metallica for a number of reasons. Metallica vs Napster comes to mind, and i also remember when fans were calling them sellouts simply because they cut their hair and updated their style.
I, like most, really dig their early stuff. I haven't really heard anything since the Black Album that i can put on repeat. Admittedly, i haven't looked very hard either. Do they have anything newer that sounds like "For Whom the Bell Tolls" or "Seek and Destroy"? |

Dane has 'em all worked up. Dane knows my feelings about Metallica and their 19.98 list price on a 20 year old record. Ohhh and FWIW Ride the Lightning is still in my favorite albums of all time.

Im only 3 (long) tracks in and i've already found 3 tracks i need to add to my playlists. This is actually really good and i wasn't expecting it. It's what i was hoping to find though.
I have to wonder if those that are saying Metallica sucks have listened to this album? |
