98.9FM The Rock Presents: Rockfest 2012
Anyone going to go to this? I went last year and had a blast. And man was I hammered. Probably one of the few days of the year other than my bday 4th of July and NYE where I just get absolutely hammered.
Link to official site: http://www.rockfestkc.com/home/bands/ The event's band list just came out today. I'm pumped! I was hoping that Shinedown was going to be there, and it looks like they're headlining. I went to their concert a couple years ago at the Midland. They're a good "live" band. Tickets are $35, but if you pre-order and sign up on the radio station's site March 7th-9th, they're $25. Anyways the big guys that will be there are: Shinedown Five Finger Death Punch Slash Chevelle |

I'd rather see Buckethead than Slash, but I would go if I could & would be fun.

Yeah, they'd fit in perfectly with that shitty list of bands. Trivium is decent I guess.
Theory of a Deadman is the worst of the worst "new rock" shit that exists currently. They're a ripoff of Nickelback if you can believe that, and they're absolutely horrible live from what a lot of people have said. |

Theory of the Deadman's first album was really good but their newer stuff not so much. Trivium is good too. My friend is into Volbeat & Art of Dying but they're not my style.

I just went back to check the archives and it seems Shinedown has played almost every year of Shitfest. Way to book the same shitty band over and over 98.9 |

These are almost the exact same bands that are playing at "Rocklahoma" this summer, but at least with Rocklahoma we get Megadeth, Queensryche, and Rob Zombie. Not amazing but those 3 bands are better than the rest.
