Infamous and Killzone were huge games on the PS3. I never really got into Killzone but whatever, a lot of other people like it.

The Order looked interesting but they didn't show any gameplay footage so who knows.

Other than Titanfall, the XBOX literally has nothing going for it. Titanfall isn't even an exclusive and could be coming to the PS4 Holiday 2014.

Sony let game developers charge you for online passes on the PS3, so did the 360. EA was the only publisher who consistently took advantage of it though. After you buy a disc on XBOX it is completely worthless once you install it. So no more Gamefly, Redbox, or Blockbuster for you, PS4 players won't be stuck with shit games once we buy them.

Xbox almost has to be pushing some sort of game trial or something that you can do straight from the system or there has to be something to the rental policy that people will be able to rent games because like you are saying above, if it's the way it seems, rentals will be a thing of the past for Xbox.

They would have to come up with something. Maybe offer more Steam-like sales? Or maybe they will have multiple tiers of XBL, like a basic 5 dollar a month tier that allows you to play online and then have a 30 dollar a month tier that allows you to digitally rent games for a certain number of hours?

As far as always online goes, who cares? Most of the games even PS4 showed they used the words "ever evolving" and talked about how a player can hop in at any time. Think any of that will work without being online? I hate the used game thing, but I really dont buy used games, just sell. But with that said it makes since for microsoft, just due to the fact that it actually loads the disk onto your Xbox like a PC. They dont want multiple systems running the same game, this is also the reason behind the 24 hour check in. They dont want people pirating software on their system.

That's an idea I could get behind for either console. Digitally rent the game for, say 3 days, if you like the game you can either re-rent the game or just buy it digitally.

I don't rent very often, but I do for my kids. We only have one place in town that rents games and each time we go up, the damn game they want is gone.

Sorry I can't tell you much but they destroyed a skyscraper again and they were flying a helicopter. I'm not a big Battlefield player though so to me it looked exactly like BF3.

Sorry, I have a ps3 and 360 right now. The software on the ps3 is garbage in comparison.

Buy the way you want—disc or digital—on the same day: You’ll be able to buy disc-based games at traditional retailers or online through Xbox Live, on day of release. Discs will continue to be a great way to install your games quickly.

Access your entire games library from any Xbox One—no discs required: After signing in and installing, you can play any of your games from any Xbox One because a digital copy of your game is stored on your console and in the cloud. So, for example, while you are logged in at your friend’s house, you can play your games.

Share access to your games with everyone inside your home: Your friends and family, your guests and acquaintances get unlimited access to all of your games. Anyone can play your games on your console--regardless of whether you are logged in or their relationship to you.

Give your family access to your entire games library anytime, anywhere: Xbox One will enable new forms of access for families. Up to ten members of your family can log in and play from your shared games library on any Xbox One. Just like today, a family member can play your copy of Forza Motorsport at a friend’s house. Trade-in and resell your disc-based games: Today, some gamers choose to sell their old disc-based games back for cash and credit. In our role as a game publisher, Microsoft Studios will enable you to give your games to friends or trade in your Xbox One games at participating retailers. You can do that on the PS3. Hell, if you are comfortable with giving your account info to somebody they can login to your account on their console and download anything that you have purchased for free.

PS3 has had day one digital releases for a while now.
