I understand Chagrin about Janes Addiction. I don't hate them but I can't stand The Red Hot Chili Peppers. They can play some good jams at times but their lyrics and songwriting all sound the same. To me anyways.

OK after consulting my music library to jog my memory, I'd have to say "The Core" and "Let it Rain" by Clapton are among my favorites. Honorable mention to Tommy Shaw for his work in "Queen of Spades" by Styx.
