Anyway, in addition to the Latour, I really enjoy the following: Chateau Rieussec (I've got a '88 stashed still waiting for solid crystalization to happen) Kenwood's Jack London Cab Gaja Barolo (like the Gran Cru Bordeaux's, this became ridiculously expensive over the past 15 years, so I don't really seek it out anymore, but I think it's an insanely good wine) Trimbach Gerwurztraminer (the base, regular vintage) Domaine de Mont Redon Chateauneuf du Pape Nuit Saint Georges Burgundies Bodegas Riojanas Monte Real Gran Reserva Gunderloch Weingut Rheinhessen Riesling Spatlese Penfold's Claire Valley Cab Bin 707 Fonseca Vintage Graham Six Grapes Duck Pond Pinot Noir There's more, but these are ones off the top of my head that stand out. |

Right now one of my favorites is the Louis Jadot Pino Noir.
I also really like the Coppala Pino as well. Especially if you can find a 2006 vintage Any decent pino grigio I like too. |

On special occasions I like to get these:
Adelsheim Pinot Noir Heitz Cellar Cab Sav & Chardonnay Some of the rarest I've tasted: 1974 Chateau O'brien 1995 Opus One 150 year old port that came up with the Steamboat Arabia (didn't care for it much, but it was more the novelty of it) I'm not a total snob though, we buy boxed wines too and I used to consider myself an expert in the sub $10 category (although that was 10-15 years ago when $10 went a lot further). Lately we've been drinking lots of Layer Cake.

1953 Rothschild Chateau Lafite.
This is the finest wine I've ever had. A fabulous meal includes a nice fillet and this wine. Frankly, I could live on this wine. It's spectacular. If heaven has a taste, it tastes like this. At the rehearsal dinner for my wedding, my mother splurged and bought 20 bottles of this magnificent vintage. I expected to have several bottles left after the dinner for my personal stash. It was funny, though. The St. Henry's Monsignor and Deacon who conducted our service and attended the rehearsal dinner refused to leave the restaurant until every last drop was gone. Can't say that I blame him, though. FAX |

My favorite bottle around $100 would be Joseph Phelps Insignia. I think it's more since I got my last bottles. That being said I am a big fan of finding geat values which I find all the time at Grocery Outlet since they bought out wineauction.com I am not a big fan of paying retail or merlot but for $15 Raymond Reverve merlot is pretty awesome. I get it at Safeway. there are great values out there right now folks, look for them. Great value in wines from South Africa, Australia and Spain.

big fan of Clos Du Bois Cabernet. I usually get when its on sale for $9.99 from $16. As a gift I Louis Jadot Pouilly-Fuisse white burgundy wine. Also found a couple bottles on sale for $12 off from $32 and they're Sterling Cabernet and Rodney Strong Pinot Noir. I'm also a fan of Santa Margherita Pinot Grigio. Very light and great with noodles or chicken.

I bought a couple bottles of the $3 cabernet bottles at Whole Foods. Not bad.

I really like shiraz. I'll have to look for that. I bought a bottle of Clos Du Bois shiraz for $10 and have yet to open it. Just waiting for the right time. Once I open a bottle its gotta be like 2 more after that. lol
