Keith Richards Has Head Surgery

LONDON (AP) - Keith Richards had surgery Monday in New Zealand to relieve pressure in his head following a fall, his representative said. The Rolling Stones guitarist was "up and talking" soon after surgery at The Ascot Hospital in Auckland, but was expected to take several weeks to recuperate, LD Communications said Monday in a statement issued in London.

"Last week Keith was under observation in Auckland following a fall in Fiji and was feeling well after being examined by doctors last week," the statement said. "However after complaining of headaches yesterday, doctors thought it prudent to move ahead with a small operation to remove the pressure."

The Stones'"A Bigger Bang European" tour, which was scheduled to start in Barcelona, Spain, later this month, will be postponed until June, the agency said.

Richards, 62, suffered the injury April 27, but details have not been confirmed. News reports have variously claimed that he fell out of a palm tree or from a jet ski.

That's one way of looking at it...Yeah the yearly complete blood change
has prolonged his life.

But the fact he is still touring and putting on a hell of a show, Can still
play the axe well is enough for me.

Think of all the folks that tried and failed to live the rock 'n roll lifestyle.

High...No Just an old Rocker. That appreciates what Rock was in it's hayday...Not today's feeble attempts to re-invent itself.

Music Played out years ago....NO.

Stuff that attempts to pass for music now was played before it was ever put on stage. Rap/ metal variations etc.

Some of the stuff that has come and gone since the Stones started will long be forgotten in Rock 'n Roll history books.

You don't have to like it, make fun of it all you want, the folks that lived
it growing up understand.

Tough for some to comprehend the time that was. I guess you had to be there....
