You're wrong about Brady.

God mother****ing damnit; when will it end? I swear to God; between Warner and Brady, the number of NFL fans who are losing touch with reality in regards to the position of Quarterback is becoming mind-numbingly staggering.

It's like they hear a story that two guys in the same Casino hit the million dollar prize in the same day, one at the slots, one at the Blackjack table, and all of a sudden that striking of lightning in the same spot twice becomes the norm.

It's not the norm. It has never BEEN the norm. It will never BE the norm.

Ugh.

Jevan Snead will probably be the best QB out of this group.

Tim Tebow. I'd take him as a TE or a FB...

Gators QB Tebow getting a tuneup, not an overhaul

Loeffler is focused only on tweaking the Gators QB's mechanics.

GAINESVILLE - All Florida coach Urban Meyer wants Scott Loeffler to do is polish Tim Tebow's skills.

Tweak Tebow's mechanics and footwork. Don't rebuild the 6-foot-3, 242-pounder into a prototypical pocket passer. Give the 2007 Heisman Trophy winner a tuneup, not an overhaul.

"The overhauling of Tim Tebow," Meyer said with a shake of his head. "He better not be overhauled.

"The guy has a 60-plus percent completion rate. Absolutely not [an overhaul]. Enhanced."

All the work Loeffler and Tebow have done since UF's national championship victory over Oklahoma might not be noticeable to anyone watching the Gators' season opener against Charleston Southern on Sept. 5.

"I don't know to the average fan if they would see any differences whatsoever," Loeffler said. "[There will be] slight fundamental changes, slight body position changes. Will the average fan notice? I don't know. A lot of people that study quarterbacks, they might.

"The thing I keep reiterating is Tim Tebow, he throws the ball well enough to help us win the SEC title, and all we're trying to do is improve."

Tebow is a career 65.8 percent passer and is fourth on the school's all-time yardage list (9,112), trailing leader Chris Leak, Danny Wuerffel and Shane Matthews.

Tebow threw a school-record 230 consecutive passes without an interception and holds the school record for rushing touchdowns (43) and is sixth on the SEC list.

He was the first sophomore to win the Heisman Trophy and is the only player in NCAA history to rush and pass for at least 20 touchdowns in the same season.

But he didn't exactly have textbook mechanics.

His release was more three-quarters and sidearm than over the top, and he had a bit of a windup. Tebow also played nearly exclusively out of the shotgun at Nease High School and Florida, so there was some question about whether he'd be able to take snaps under center.

Those were some of the issues that arose among NFL Draft analysts and scouts when Tebow was considering leaving UF early, and that's partly why Meyer hired Loeffler, who tutored several eventual NFL quarterbacks at Michigan - including Tom Brady - and spent the 2008 season as the quarterbacks coach with the Detroit Lions.

Tebow said he noticed a difference since he began working with Loeffler last spring.

"I felt like I could come out there [in the summer] and work on it a great deal on my own with the receivers and just working on my fundamentals," Tebow said. "I think I've improved on that."

Those subtle differences won't change the way he plays, though. Meyer certainly doesn't want him to.

"It's not like, all of sudden, 'My gosh, look at this guy,' " Meyer said. "It's going to be Tim Tebow."

It's weird to see it.....but I have a feeling that there will be 4 QBs taken in the 1st round.

Tebow, Bradford, McCoy and Snead.

Clausen is a borderline 2nd/3rd round pick right now. Could go higher depending on how he does this year.

Clausen will because of hype. As long as he doesn't shit himself on the field this year....he's at least a 2nd round pick.

Happy Happy Joy Joy; three QB's who have no bearing whatsoever on my life as a Chiefs fan.

Sorry to interrupt your discussion on who possesses the best NFL-fodder. Carry on.
