Call of Duty will go head-to-head with Battlefield 3 in 2011.

The third game in the series, which will be shown to press during the Game Developers Conference in San Francisco next month, is set for release this coming fall, Electronic Arts confirmed.

The publisher revealed the first teaser trailer for the game on its official website tonight. The trailer, which contains no actual gameplay, displays quick cuts of helicopters, ground troops, tanks and fighter jets.

Additional details courtesy of the official Battlefield Blog confirm a full single-player and co-op campaign, jets, prone, and 64-player multiplayer for the PC version. The Frostbite 2 engine will power the game and a Limited Edition will be revealed around GDC.

Developer DICE confirmed earlier this morning it was canceling the release of Battlefield 1943 and the Battlefield: Bad Company 2 Onslaught pack for PC.

I either need to get a 2nd Xbox (the S) or get the wireless card for my old Xbox because I have it out in the living room now and my modem is in my study... I don't want an ethernet cable stretching through my whole damn place so I'm off XBL for now.

I love the game....I just don't think it's for everyone coming from a COD mindset - it's a completely different game.

that. I was a COD player from the get go. Never played any of the BF series. I LOVE this game. I probably will never go back to COD.

Everyone is different though.
I like this because there seems to be more of a strategy/thinking involved while playing. COD was typically chaos etc.

and, it appears I was successful in dowloading B2K. The download took probably 1.5 hrs (compared to the 1 minute or so it did last time). And, I got a message 'successuflly installed'.

I wasn't able to turn on the game itself and see if I could filter for it, but I'm sure it's there now.

i just logged into that Battlelog thing where it shows you your stats/next unlocks etc.

Good lord.... my stats are brutal.

I'm only at a level 19; and need some more unlocks with my support weapons.
Apparently I'm close to a foregrip on my M60, so I think I'm going to try to knock that out and see if that helps. Got some upcoming goodies on the M240. I've notice that I use that PKP ALOT. I need to play around with the others more.
