TCU at Kansas
3:00pm Feb. 15, 2014
TV: Big 12 Network

No Joel Embid today. Surely KU can handle TCU easily, even without Embid.

I'd take TCU +23. I could see us getting off to a big lead, and coasting in a bit during the second half, winning by 14-20 points.
Heeee!!!

See if Christian Moody has any more eligibility.

Walk-ONS are a vital part of games. We need a brand new group.

Why do you always think when KU isnt winning they arent trying hard enough. For that matter why do so many fans buy into this bullshit argument. Winning and losing a basketball game is rarely about who ''tried'' harder. Its almost always about who has superior coaching, talent, home court advantage, and just dumb luck.

This is actually true. Doesn't really bother me because Tyler Self helps ensure coach stays at least 5 more years but this seriously is probably the worst crop of walk ons ive seen in my lifetime

Because I understand what I'm watching and therefore am able to notice when a team isn't giving any effort defensively (and KU didn't for the entirety of the first half). Do you seriously think the fact that TCU stopped scoring in the 2nd half had nothing to do with KU raising its intensity level?

Effort always plays a role. Players don't bring a consistent level of that from game to game (or in the case of this version of KU, from minute to minute). This is even more obvious in professional basketball with its 82 game schedule (where players often float around defensively during the regular season until the final few minutes of each game, before turning it up consistently in the playoffs). Not exactly sure how that is a point of contention.

#Kubball self on Anderson "we couldn't guard him down there either" 2nd message was more "try harder" than major adjustment
It seems Self understands the game too. Good to know.

In this case it is all effort. TCU did some things, but it was effort.
