If you're looking for a **** buddy, it's because you're not looking to date. If you're looking to date, you don't treat someone like a **** buddy. Three kinds of sexual relationships:

**** buddy (aka booty call buddy): Someone you only call when you want to have sex. It's the only time you see each other.

Friends with benefits: A friend you get along with well. You're not really each other's type for anything long term, but you like to hang out and occasionally have sex.

Dating: You're looking for someone long term. You are getting to know them, possibly falling for them, and sex is of course part of that.

I had a **** buddy years ago. When one of us was in a relationship, we let the other one know. We would not contact each other until we were out of said relationship. If the other one was also not currently in a relationship, we'd go back to being **** buddies. IMO, I can't recall anyone who ended up being FWB with someone come out of it even being friends.

I don't think it's as simple as that. Expecting a potential partner to fit into some pre-defined category is a good way to set yourself up for disappointment...

Every girl I've ever met or dated, that told themselves they needed to "Do something" before being able to find love, has been their own worst enemy with regards to actually finding love. Whether it be losing weight, or graduating college, or whatever. You're constructing your own roadblock to happiness.

Honestly from some of your stories I get that you are a chameleon girl, you adapt to the guy you like, by doing this you put yourself in the friend zone all the time on your own..

Seems one of the few things you have only done for yourself is derby, which is awesome, still trying to figure out how you have not gotten guys through that.. Some of the manish looking derby girls up here even get guys.. You are better than them from what I remember.

You seem caught up trying to get an image of yourself that you do not want to try and achieve or cannot and blame that for your problems. Learn to like yourself, and then guys will see that confidence. If not you might become one of those old jaded women that have 12 cats.
