They picked literally the WORST book out of Morrison's epic run on Batman to do as an animated feature.. maybe they're planning on doing the rest.. hopefully.. story doesn't make much sense or come into fruition without the rest of it.

EDIT: Just watched the trailer. Jesus they utterly shat on the story I guess to make it more "standalone??" Deathstroke? WHAT?? This is a complete and utter abortion of an adaptation..

I hope to god they're not planning to segway this into a New 52 story because that would be a ****ing disgrace. The "Batman and Son" story is supposed to lead into Bruce's death and then Batman Reborn when Nightwing becomes Batman and Damon becomes Robin and then Bruce coming back with Batman INC and finally Damon's death.. they already have him running around in his Robin outfit in this one.. this is a ****ing story abomination.

now that they killed Damian, and I felt he was the best new character since harley quinn, they will have to bring him back if this does well, they ain't caring about the source any more

He was great but I don't think he fit in well in the New 52. I didn't enjoy the Tomasi run at all and it was really just a stretched out version of.. Batman and Son. He just brought him back to being a little shit when the character had already moved way past that during Batman Reborn. IMHO he and Grayson should have had at least two more years as Batman and Robin. That duo was the best.

I hope not. They should leave Morrison's story alone. They cut his Batman Reborn and Batman INC stories way too short because of the reboot so I saw it as a "**** you" to DC for him to pull the plug on the character on his way out the door (despite him admitting that he originally planned to kill him off much sooner).

and that was just stoopit
think they are gonna use the girl that ids currently trying to help him, but I can't remember her name

the new 52 is a cluster ****, the only ones I like are the suicide squad, and demon knights, justice league dark and Frankenstein and half of those have been cancelled

love just about all of DC's animation though. just too short lived, sadly.

Yeaaaaahhh I don't care what happens at this point. It's a complete mess. I was on board with Batman and Nightwing for a bit but it pained me to see my favorite characters not act like themselves and just get shit on. Snyder is such a pretentious prick and was way better in Detective Comics. They tried to force that whatever girl-helper character down our throats but they got a lot of backlash and seemed like they backed out of it. Don't get me started on the Forever Evil crap.. ugh. I've decided to give up on it and wait until this New 52 crap blows over..
