The Chiefs loss was today, and it was much more ugly or brutal than anything I saw on 9/11. Shove that country music up your ass. |

If you lived to be a thousand, could 9/11 ever become less astounding? It's hard to think so. Watching the footage, and reading the stories, and listening to the impact of this event, it's only increasing my sensitivity towards that day that has shaped this young century in America, and really, all over the world.
There will be a Chiefs game next week, and I'm grateful that we live in a country that can look forward to something so simple as watching football on Sundays. Say what you want to be cute and funny by making light of September 11. I guess you do, afterall, have that freedom. I don't think it's funny though. I don't think most people do.
