Chiefs Does anyone else think 2TE sets will be evil?

I was impressed with Cottam. He was all over catching everything. Combine him with Tony and it could be just brutal.

Tony and Cottam with Bowe and Franklin as WR and of course LJ in the backfield. Provided Cottam can block, you've got a great running formation, two HUGE targets across the middle, and then two burners on the edges.

They put 8 in the box and you audible to the WR. Playing off and you audible to a run. Could be a formation that you can always put the D at a disadvantage with the right audible calls.

I wouldn't be surprised if Tony and Cottam combine for 4,000 yards this season. Throw in Bowes 8,000 and I think we can make a run at this yet.

well yes...the 4000 combined yards would be awesome unless the D gives up 10,000 yards..

I think we'll see plenty of 2 TE sets. The chiefs still haven't hired a bona fide FB yet, so look for Cottam in the H-back role sometimes...

Cox is a bonafide FB.

Don't see too many 6-8 H-backs.

Yes, but is he hired? Has he made the team? Is it true 5 FBs were invited to camp?
This was very obviously a weakness in the rushing attack since T-Rich left.

I remember being SO into the idea of a Gonzo/Ricks duo.

Cottam does look good, though.

As for FB, Mr. Hunt looked pretty fantastic.

Good for Tony if we can line up a big body who is a threat to catch and take some of the double-team off of him. He shouldn't get mauled coming off of the line of scrimmage so much.
