Regarding 5. Houston is a more rounded LB than DT ever dreamed of being. I don't know if Houson will ever match DT's sack numbers, but overall Houston is a more complete football player.

This stood out to me also.

DT was one of the best pass rushers ever, and the clear leader of the defense.
But he was a liability in both run support, though his backside pursuit was outstanding, and in pass coverage.

Justin Houston is almost certainly the most complete player at OLB since Bobby Bell, who I still believe is the best overall OLB to have ever played the game.

DT was never a liability in run support.

He was effectively negated on the rare occasion a team would throw an extra TE out there and then lead block with a FB.

When DT played a lead blocking FB was almost the norm.

Teams would run directly at the most dangerous pass rusher both to wear him out and to make him second guess rushing at the snap of the ball.

So DT could shed blocks of 330 pound linemen, holding him most every play but couldn't shed a block of a fullback- okay.

I am sure there were not too many running backs that liked to get hit by DT. 58 hit Steve Young so hard he pucked his breakfast up on the field and has acknowledge nobody ever hit him harder.

Ever since Blob Gretz invented this-it has taken root. Worst speech ever and it cost DT a first ballot HOF.
