Would a big nose tackle not work in our system?

So a big nose tackle who can shut down the run wont fit in our scheme? Does it really matter what kind of Dtackle you have as long as they push the pocket and contain the run? |

Yes, a big nose tackle would fit the scheme. If he took up two players it would leave the 3 rushing linemen in single coverage.

Not really. We're playing the Cover 2, which values speed and tenacity over size, even at the DT position.

Why does it matter what size a tackle's nose is?

Tank is already our nose tackle. We need a three technique now.
