The Nobel would be more cool to have sitting on your mantel, but the Heisman is basically a blank check. Nobody pays Nobel winners for their autographs...at least, I don't think they do.

Nobel laureates are more sure of being successful at the highest level of their chosen profession. Look at Desmond Howard. Or Eric Crouch or Charlie Ward.

Heisman is rarer though, only one per year.

It was close, but I'll take the Nobel.

Really though, wouldn't winning a Hiesman be more like winning a Pulitzer, and winning a Nobel be more like MVP of the NFL or something? As far as levels of skill and money.

I thought it was only about $100k or so, but I could well be wrong about that.

I was off a bit, it's 1 million Euros, which is I guess 1.3 million US at this time.

They get paid 1000s of dollars to go speak at colleges and such (depending on what nobel prize you win), but not anything like a Heisman would get.

If I had a Nobel prize, I would always introduce myself as "Zebedee Dubois.....Nobel Laureate" The girls would swoon.
