I had a Razor (sp?) once and really liked it.
The coolest thing I've seen lately is the touch screen ipod thing, though. If that comes in a phone version, I'd glom onto one of those. FAX |

Razrs suck... horrible sound quality.
Samsung makes a good product... very crisp & sharp screens. Looks like Alltel has the Samsung Hue. It got a 7.3 rating from cnet... |

I got a razr right when they first came out and had good luck with it. I had recently upgraded and gave my son my old razr and now it's about had it. Any of the touch screen models are out of my price range for sure...Alltel has one called the glimmer that is pretty slick though.

I know a lot of people that like Sprints LG Rumor, which looks like the Scoop from alltel. Good if the kid does text messaging...

The Razr2 actually does have a couple touch screen functions, but its only on a small part of the front screen, and only for accessing messages and MP3's. My buddy got one and is very happy. It seems like a great design.

For some reason cnet will not let me embed the glimmer video but it has gotten some GREAT reviews but is up at around $130 (new activation)

What kind of phone did they use in the Matrix? The one where you pushed a button and it sort of auto-expanded? That would be nice ... if it came in a smaller size and a lifetime supply of red capsules, of course. I think you could probably work out a deal and get a pretty cool phone somewhere by signing up for a plan. FAX |
