15th was supposed to be good enough for KC, given the offense. People forget that.

Clearly, it wasn't good enough, considering the offense was once again dominant.

Well, we have gotten better every year since Gun arrived. The problem is it isn't fast enough for most people.

That's why i think a one year extension for DV made sense. Too late now. Shields, Roaf, Richardson, Kennison, and Green won't last forever. But with LJ they can go at least one more year. I like what Derrick Johnson brings to this D. This D has afuture, i just hope they keep the staff they have and not gut it all.

Keep the offensive staff, and completely dump the defensive coaching staff.

The offense had leaps and bounds of success with the offensive change. Unlike the defense which has stayed at the lower tier of the NFL in overall defense.

I don't understand it. With our offense, a middle of the pack D was supposed to get us to the SB. We had the #1 offense yet again, and a middle of the pack D(scoring is what counts, not yards). And we fail to make the playoffs?

The 'D' is getting better and next year it won't be by just 7 slots. I think these improvements, when started, pick up speed fast. I'll stick my neck out and predict that if Al Saunders is hired as HC and Gun is given better coaches and a few more players, this 'D' will be around #15 or better next year. With our 'O' intact and Al tying up the lose ends in the discipline department happy days will be here again.
