JFC, that was a nice little TV match. Good give and take, solid workrate. Kind of nice to see a formula that isn't just Face Dominate, face in peril, flurry to a finish.

Nope. Although I can see why he wouldn't get over there. A little too squatty, stiff (although I like that), and he doesn't appear to be much of a talker.

Remember the Benoit protege angle with Gunner Scott...Albright=Gunner Scott..

That's also where you see the difference in WWE guys and indy guys on the indies he looks giant in WWE he's average sized.

I've never really watched SD!, so I missed that angle. I see that he was Gunner Scott in the E.

Prazak's way toned down, and the football guy they brought in for PBP is definitely still learning. He sounds professional, but he doesn't have the timing and oftentimes he just sort of states what happened after the fact instead of being in (and a part of) the moment. His pin calls and big move calls are pretty forced, but I'm guessing he'll get better if the show does well and he gets more experience. I like Durden backstage (though it kind of feels detached and lonely back there), and one nice thing about ROH is that there are a ton of good talkers (especially for an indy).

I don't really like the production decisions to have so much graphical information overload; the pre-match promos are kind of old school, so they're fine, but the histories should be played there so the intros aren't squashed into a box in the corner -- it's HD, I want to see them in their full glory with a banner displaying their name and maybe one tidbit below that. Oh, and the "The 1...2...3!!!" subtitle for those background bits is super lame.

So, those are my thoughts 20 minutes in. And Kenny King rules.

Whoa, a commercial break? Sweet, a history segment! Joe when Joe wasn't... whatever the **** he is now.

Well, that was easily the best wrestling show I've seen this week. I mean, that's not saying much, but it was a really solid first outing.

The cheese factor is pretty high with the graphics and on-the-job training commentary (not to mention that '80s infomercial style "I'm Tom Bosley and I'm standing in front of a ~~green screen~~ bank of monitors" opening), and the sound could use some better mixing (where did the crowd noise go after Black got the pin? Did they have to edit in the awful generic music?), but it felt a lot like an old school wrestling show with a very nice product in the ring.

Being an ROHbot, of course I liked the show a lot. Lynn/Delirious was a nice opener and I thought it was cool that they mentioned that Delirious used to be allied with Jimmy Jacobs. When they taped the shows, he was still allied with Jacobs, so getting it up to date keeps the show somewhat in line with the dvds timeline-wise as Delirious just turned on Jacobs. It was interesting that Callahan got time on the first tv show, albeit as a glorified jobber. Titus and Albright went a little too long, but they are trying to build Titus up as more than just a jobber. The main event was a great TV match and it was given a decent amount of time.

I'll say this, it's nice that ROH can put out a very entertaining first show while leaving about 80% of its upper card on the sidelines (Danielson, McGuinness, Steenerico, Briscoes, Castagnoli, Aries, Hero, etc.). It shows how deep their roster really is, especially for an Indy.
