Funniest radio promotions you have ver heard of
Just looking around thinking of great promotions and was wondering what other radio stations in other cities are up to.

I do a couple of things--Carlota's box Lunch ( Lunch req hour), Beat the Cock,(trivia timed game), mental Speedbump (No brainfart game) etc...

Also, I have in the past, ran around with a tip jar becasue eveyone thinks they should get a tip for simply doing their now. So hell, why not me? I gave the tips to charity, BTW. Thinking of a "dont be a gashole" promotion. We do poker tournaments, Rock and Roll bingo, Asphault Chef (its hot here!), etc....

Was wondering what fun radio promotion have you heard of or participated in?

I have always thought it would suck to do big radio promotions in Vegas. It'd be real easy to get lost in the clutter.

A local station did one on their website. The 5th poster was e-mail a pic of the DJ's breasts.

Quite a few years ago a radio station here was giving away a car, and you had to "live in it to win it". Which meant they put 4 people in the car, and whoever stayed in it the longest won it. IIRC the winner stayed in it well over a week, and the car was pretty disgusting by the time it was over.

Not really. Actually you have tons of access and the locals dont get caught up in casino promotions. Its a really great spot for a promotion director with a strong rolodex.

Thats not a bad idea. We've done keep your hands on the car the longest...it was pretty tough, and real nasty. Especially in the heat. TYons of legal crap to get thru though. Wonder what the living in he car legalities are...
